The biggest difference between TCU and WVU is coaching. If TCU had Holgorsen they would be 7-5 at best most years. If Patterson was on WVU's sideline we would be flirting with Big 12 titles every other year.
He’s a great coach.
Watching the Ok State and TCU games, it just seems also that wvu lacks size, speed and conditioning compared to those guys. Especially on D. Their OL, DL, LBs especially look bigger faster and stronger.
Maybe I’m just down due to how wvu finished. But I hate how we get pushed around now.

Ssssh...I’ve been saying this for years. Nobody wants to question SC Joseph’s ability because he’s a WV native. Our biggest loss was losing Barwis when Rod left.
The team and players have never been as big and physical than they were during the Rich Rod/Barwis years.
Barwis was the biggest lost the program had other than Rich Rod.
I agree...i do not think it's a talent difference or even coaching as much as conditioning and strength training. We get pushed all over the field time and time again!
Very good win for BXII. runner up beat same from Pac 12. Very good
win for Ok St. Happy league has won 4 straight bowl games, two with
significance to quiet some of critics. TT should have won theirs.

Weren't we a bad call away from possibly tying our last game with them? in their house? Aren't we 2-3 in the last 5 games? It's not like they are OU. The Alamo is eccentially a home game and they gave up 37 to Stanford. Not exactly lighting it up defensively.

How did Pitt do when they thought every coach they had should win like Jackie Sherill? Didn't work out for them did it. It still took nearly 30 years to beat them for a recruit or three in the WPIAL even with us having a better program for the last 30 years.

Good point. Gary loads up on the grambling states, steve Austin’s, Jackson st, smu’s in ooc. Since joining the big 12 he had legit ooc games against LSU, arky and the golden gophers.
Patterson has played 4 ranked OOC teams in that time frame, we've played 2. So much for that theory.

Please list the 4 ranked OOC teams tcu has played. I know of only LSU. Arkansas can't be they fired their coach this year and went 7-6 last year. Minnesota was not ranked either time. .
I know WVU has played #1 Bama which was a playoff school and VPI which was 18 or about there and is still ranked about there now. I think Byu the year we played them finished the year ranked too.

And I don't worship no HC or player. I don't care one way or another that much I have a life. My self esteem isn't determined by any scoreboard. College sports are entertainment for me ONLY.
