There has been mention of Allison possibly being a solid passer and showing a nice arm. He also was named scout team offensive player of year. We have heard he is possibly extremely slow and that worries many. We will find out more about him after spring.

We have heard next to nothing about David Israel. He is a big mystery at this point outside of a junior college highlight reel that looked solid. We know he played 1 year of junior college and was redshirted this fall giving him 4 seasons to play 3 more seasons. He didn’t get here until first day of fall camp so he was way behind. He will be a redshirt sophomore in 2018. Any info on his progress or what he has shown so far?

Israel is a good athlete and could make a strong IR

Holgs has never had a backup QB and never will. He’s actually never developed a QB. Developing a QB takes time, takes hard work... and aren’t worth it according to Holgs

I like Lowe. But I don’t think he fits our system. If he redshirts, we won’t ever see him starting for Holgs.

Chugunov - Redshirted. Finished the season as our starter, unfortunately

I already figured Israel has no future at QB here but just trying to hear anything inside about his situation. I wasn’t counting on him either. I’m not sold on Allison ever starting hear either so thank god Grier is coming back another year to help us get someone ready for 2019. Dana better pray that Lowe is real deal for 2019. It’s very positive news that Lowe is enrolling early to get a head start. Let’s hope.

Like Crest I don’t think Israel will ever be good at another position based off his high school film and JUCO film. I see Israel being a better fit at a FCS school at QB. Chugs is D2 level. I don’t think Chugs will even be on roster next fall. I think he is forced out or quits football after getting bachelors degree. He has 4.0 GPA and doesn’t need football. He is another disaster QB recruit by Dana. It’s obvious Dana has no eye for QBs.

Agree

Some years we’ll have a Geno or Will type QB. Some years we’ll have a Skykar or Clint type QB. Depends on what’s available to transfer in

We’ll never have a backup with Holgs which isn’t ideal but is what it is

It does no good to argue against the facts, as Keaton likes to do

This logic literally makes no sense when you realize that next season, there will be a kid who started multiple games, a 4 star recruit from Miami and another 4 Star QB recruit with offers all over America backing up our Heisman contender QB

No backups ever huh?

I believe you’re forgetting that the #2 QB this season had to retire this summer due to injury as well..... a HS QB recruit who had won the backup role to Grier

That’s true about Cody Saunders he was going to easily be the backup. What a shame he had a bad shoulder. That was shocking news he had to retire. Keaton I need basketball info look for a question over there about Knapper in 5 minutes. I will post about Knapper.

If Grier has to be spelled for a more than just one play, Lowe will not be redshirted. I believe that.

Chugs is bad, Allison is inaccurate, Isreal will be a CB.

Lowe has a chance to win the back up QB job by enrolling early. We will know if my prediction is right come spring game.

He ran off 2 QBs behind Geno and signed a kid who went to be a backup TE at Illinois St
