Being a nice as possible because I hate bashing student athletes, but Chugs is a really, really, poor football player. Even his completions today were terrible passes. No clue why Dana and even a few posters on this board think he's capable of being a D1 football player, we've seen nothing out of him in the 3 years he's been here.

He's the worst QB to ever play in a WVU game (considerable playing time) in 50 years.

His throws aren't even within five yards of the receivers. You're right though, I've never seen a WVU QB this bad.

Might as well put Sills back there, maybe he can throw it to himself.

What do you see in Dana? He's and average at best coach.

he was offered a scholarship and accepted it....it's not his fault..but you're correct he can't play very well at this level...but you think he's worse than Dutch Hoffman?

Idk who that is but it is diificult to fathom at worse QB at this level. At least Ford Childress had the raw talent, Chugs has no redeemable qualities within his skill set.

-Statue
-No pocket awareness
-Weak arm
-Wildly inaccurate
-Based on body language, does not appear to be a leader.

And yes, I am definitely blaming Dana for offering him a scholly.

I'm being serious about this.......wouldn't it be best for the football program if his scholarship was pulled and offered to a JC QB this spring? Chugs has no shot of ever seeing the field again.

So I guess Chugs is the fall guy for Dana this game. Maybe if our coach was better than average you wouldn't have to keep finding someone else to blame.

Yes it would be smart to pull his scholarship and use it elsewhere, but it's also kind of a dick move if he's close to graduating and other coaches can/will use that against us in recruiting.

I'm conflicted on it.

It's not far-fetched to think Chugs' scholly won't become available. If Chugs really wants to continue playing in football games that count, then he needs to transfer to a D-2 or a D-3 school. That's just reality. He'll never get on the field for WVU again unless there is some kind of unthinkable rash of injuries at QB.

I think a heart-to-heart needs to be had with Chugs and tell him "son, appreciate you....but if you have somewhere else you'd like to play that would be best". There has to be a JC QB out there that can be adequate or better.

He saw nobody else and probably wished he hadnt put himself in that position.

Kid has more heart than most QBs. He was constantly hit hard and I was surprised he did not end up with a serious injury. Dana just hung him out to dry. Coach is definitely the bad guy in this loss.

Nobody is saying Chugs didn't or don't have heart......or isn't tuff.......but we are saying he's NOT a D-1 QB.

Holgs sees he can not burn a red shirt for this crap season. It's not worth it. I see Chugs as moving to last in the QB ladder. I missed on this one myself. Wonder if Chuggs can catch a pass?

Better question is what do some WVU fans see in DH?
Good question root it's the 2nd time its been asked in this thread, Its Kinda funny how Dana's body guards like Numbers continue to avoid answering it. In Dana fan boys fantasy land its always wait till next year or Blame one the coordinators. Now there pinning it on the back up qb. How low can they go?
