That's awesome! Again, I think it's the right call for Sills. He's a very good college receiver right now. He would probably get picked in the draft this year if he went, but probably late. If he gets better at a few things next year, he could get drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round.
I'm very happy he is coming back. I think he could be a good possession receiver in the NFL. However, if I were a gm of a team, I wouldn't use anything but a 6 or 7 round pick on him. He has speed issues. NFL cornerbacks are so different than his current competition.
Yeah, him coming back is a no brainer. Good college receiver, not sure he'd make it as a good pro receiver.
I don't think he's a #1 wr in the pros, but he could be a #2 wr. He has good, not great, speed, is at least 6'4", has good hands and enough strength to come down with 50/50 catches. If he gets better at getting off the line versus press and continues to put up numbers like this season, he could go second day of the draft next year. He's an Eric Decker, not just because he's white.
I am excited about what is returning and I am excited about the transfers who will be eligible. Our offemse with a big quick TE? Yes please!
