I don't like the rule but, by the rule, that is the correct call. Have to maintain possession all the way through and that ball spun from his grasp and appeared to be trapped on the ground.

I’m not a Steelers fan but I’m confused on the call. He wasn’t even touched until he was in the endzone.

Honestly by the catch rule it looked like the right call. Had he just gone to the ground instead of stretching it out he would have been fine.

Honestly, I thought that rule applied to someone catching the ball and going straight to the ground. He caught the ball went to his knees...pivoted and lunged, which to me is a football move forward. I thought it was a catch and a fumble.

Football has to fix the rules and review system. I shouldn’t need a referee to tell me if it was a good play.

If that is the rule, the rule sucks. He caught the ball with his hand and pull it in to his gut (catch at that point) before extending it it again to cross the goal line. That is when he lost the grasp.

I’m not saying I agree with it. But by the “rule” it was the right call.

What I don’t understand is not doubling Gronk on that last drive and forcing someone else to beat you. They didn’t give any help to their smaller coverage guys even on the 2 pt conversion.

Or throwing a crossing route on that last play

So if RB breaks plane with the ball its td but if wr breaks plane with the ball its no td?

Got it. Makes perfect sense lol

My black and gold still have the division so we’ll most likely see these guys again

Sad that the refs have to decide the game

The mixed opinions here about whether it was a catch or not, seems to say that the call on the field should not have been overturned. 100% without a doubt? Nah, not on that one.#ButIdon'tgiveashit

Love it and couldn’t happen to a better fan base.

That call being overturned and ensued fan reaction is the perfect microcosm of the Steelers dire jealousy of everything with the NE Patriots. Brady owns that franchise!

It’s a horrible rule. A running back pushes the ball out and as soon as it touches the goal line it’s a TD and the play is immediately over. Same thing should apply on this play.

Pittsburgh’s problem is they can’t beat New England at home so how do they ever expect to beat them on the road.

Everyone wants to talk about Heinz Field being so tough but the Steelers are dreadful in big games at home.

Not a catch. The moose out front with the rule book should have let you know.

Wrong. The ball is allowed to move. Plus, his hand was under the ball the whole time. Refs missed blatant PI on the last play too.
