Arkansas did it as he walked off the field after losing to Mizzoo!!!!
He didn't even get to shower.
He was 11-29 in league play and 29-34 overall in 5 SEC seasons.

His buyout is good so don't feel bad.

I'm betting Gus Malzagn is gonna get ask a few times (every question) about the Arkansas job.

Sumlin is rumored out at A&M. Look out for Jimbo

Nick Saban is a killer.

Tennesse, Florida, UCLA, Arkansas, and Nebraska have all made a move already.

A&M, Texas Tech, and Arizona State are next. Should be an interesting offseason.

It's a great time to be an agent.

And Auburn's "back up plan" is Petrino. I just lost a lot of respect for Auburn.
Well considering Auburn has wanted to hire him since at least 2003 when they were trying to do a coup d'etat on Tommy Tubberville, I'd say it's now or never. As much as I think it's a slimy baaad move on Auburn, doesn't it act as justice for Louisville hiring the POS back.

I can't stand Louisville. Pitino, Pitrino, and Jurich are all POS, and the school allowed all of it. Reap what you sow!

The trickle effects are going to be good. The lead up to the bowl season will be soooo much fun. How many "never saw that coming" hires and who fills those jobs? There's 1 Chip Kelly out there-i.e. Unemployed highly sought after coach. The rest of these jobs are probably getting filled by current P5 coaches.

John Gruden's name is being thrown around too.

The fascination with Gruden is amazing. He hasn't coached in college since like 91 at Pitt where he was the WR coach.

In the NFL his winning % was .557. He inherited a Super Bowl team for year 1, and it went down hill from there. I don't get fascination and he's unproven in college.

He's a commentator on MNF. He's Dick Vermeil with more energy. Idk.

Please don't ask. Some dumb *** will say that POS with bad hair plugs in Zona.

Equally as dumb someone would want to hire Doc Holliday because he is a master of recruiting.

FYI: Nobody in the West refers to Arizona as Zona. It;s either Arizona, University of Arizona, or UofA. Never Zona.

Our HC got thrown out of a casino

His predecessor got fired at VMI for racial slurs

His predecessor was rumored to get too friendly with cheerleaders and attempted to bail at every P5 vacancy for 3 years straight

Do we?
*That casino is not a casino. It's a sucker gambling establishment. When someone starts winning, they close that table down.

*His record was horrible at VMI and was a fireable offense on its own.

*"Rumored"???
That's being nice or naive.

Dana to Arkansas
I don't think Dana will be going anywhere. But if he did - how do you feel about coaches whose stock was once high, but then they failed at previous job? (i.e., Butch Jones)

Also, this talk about who's zoomin' who made me think about Nehlen's early, golden years. We sat on pins and needles as rumors swirled he was talking to Ohio State, South Carolina, Arizona State, etc.

I don't think Dana is going anywhere for a while (especially now that Kingsbury is Bowl eligible), but I wouldn't want to ever see Butch Jones as HC at WVU. He stunk in ingame coaching and adjustments at Tennessee. He could not run a program at the P5 level.

Plus he has too thin of skin and his sayings "brick by brick", "Champions for Life" (stole that one of the Big XII), "we won everywhere but the scoreboard", etc, etc get dumber and lamer every week. He never owned a loss or his failures or mistakes. If a school hires him right now as a HC, how do they sell that to that fan base?

LOL! Our fans once threw a garbage can from the upper deck, hit a Miami assistant coach (Randy Shannon), and then tried to turn over the ambulance when it was attempting to leave the stadium with him.

Wrong!!!!
It wasn't from the upper deck it was from the main concourse area at the back of section 98 above the entrance to the visitors locker room. And those Miami players were stupid to be taunting people 20 ft above them. And Randy Shannon got a nice tax free settlement out of it. Plus considering the bounty check stuff he should have been indicted for, I consider that Karma.

As for the ambulance reference you made, that's all rumor and urban legend. Don't believe everything you hear.

If enough head coaches get fired ................Holgs will land himself a new job. He will leave in the middle of the night just like a previous coach did. Money talks! Warez

Who knows about Holgs? Ask Shane Lyons. He's the WVU AD.

WVU has had 1 losing season in 7 years under Holgorsen. Won 10 games twice. As long as WVU doesn't tank or get in some kind of trouble, he can have a Dow Jones high and low. If he averages 8 wins a year and the ticket sales/revenues don't plummet, he's probably safe given the SOS.

I will keep going to games regardless. I won't lose sleep or cry if Dana leaves or is fired. Coaches have great contracts and buyouts-better than I got as an engineer or the average pink slipped coal miner.
