That is, imo, the major problem. Not you in particular, but that line of thinking is a sure road to discontent for someone -- dependent on what side wins out. Clinton followed through with some of Reagans policies and times were good - - last time we had a balanced budget.
Along comes Bush two has to deal with 9/11 and the Taliban in Afghanistan -- oh wait, Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction and we have to change gears and fight wars on two fronts. Still there, have been the turn of the century. Massive spending carried a period of 17 years now.

Clinton did NOT follow through on Reagan's major policies. He raised taxes and spending...tried to do Obamacare with Hillary's version and screwed it up, ran up debt and it wasn't until Newt and boyz came in in 94 and began to restore some fiscal discipline that he managed to squeeze a small operating surplus on discretionary income out of the budget. But he did so dragged kicking and screaming into Welfare reform, and Newt and company forced through budgets with significantly lower rates of increases in spending.
It's revisionist history, and the worst of Bush's economies still far exceeded Obama's who had the poorest economic performance of ANY U.S. President in modern history. Who ever heard of 1.1% growth until he came along? The 'new normal"...my ***.
I do agree with you we have tremendous problems regarding deficit spending that we all have to work together to solve...the blame game is over. We're all responsible for this. Politicos making promises, and we taxpayers letting them by keeping our hands stuck out waiting for freebies. We have to stop it, get back to living within our means, making hard choices, prioritizing and demanding fiscal accountability if we're ever going to solve this mess.

Same thing here with Moore. Alabama voters will decide if they believe his denials or his accusers. It doesn't matter what else you choose to call him absent any proof.
I have believed all along and continue to believe wvu2007 that this is all political. The Left couldn't care less about Moore "molesting" little Girls. They only want to smear him with that to prevent him from winning that seat because they know they can't defeat him on the issues.
