If Trump passes Tax Reform and growth does indeed approach 4%. Would that matter to you at all in your assessment of Trump? Would that do anything to sway your vote for re-election?

A little. Depends on the price we pay to get there. If it means atmospheric mercury goes up then nope.
This time around I will vote for Trump (didn't vote last time....disliked both)...but the childish actions of the Democrats and the NFL backed liberals have sickened my stomach and all the 100% democratic family of mine have already changed their minds to Trump
I'm no red...but Trump will not be the POTUS in 2020. He most likely won't be the nominee and if he was he would lose the 2020 election.
You may be correct, but I seriously doubt the guy steps down before 2020. I'm not 100% convinced he'll run for reelection, although I would put the odds in favor of it right now.
Can he be reelected? Three years is a long time in politics. I think his chances largely depend on what gets done in tht time and who the dem nominate to run against him. If they go too far left, Trump has a good shot.
His reelection if he runs again would put the theory that "its the economy stupid". The other key factor would be who he would run against. If he runs against a loon again who knows.
We are 8 years into economic expansion now. Historically, we are due for an economic downturn. So I would tend to agree with you that the economy will dictate his reelection. However, he is also an early morning reckless tweet away from being run out of office too.
His support in the GOP is tenuous, especially when those congressmen and senators have to get re-elected. 38% means they're getting nasty phone calls from their constituents.
That is a very true statement and other world indicators are pointing to some very bad economic times felt throughout. I'm not going to be a chicken little and I don't think much of downturn is in store in the next 4 quarters but don't be surprised to see some bad economic performance in 2019 -2022.
