How are those draft picks performing in the NFL?

Not sure but what difference does that make? Wvu is 2nd only to Oklahoma in putting players in the pros from the Big 12 since we have been members. We have had twice as many draft picks as Okie state. The difference between Okie state, Tcu, Virginia Tech is coaching. There is very little difference in the talent level. Iowa state doesn't have anywhere close to the Talent of Oklahoma or Tcu or wvu. They have a young coach who is considered phenomenal in many circles. Holgorsen is 1-10 in his last 11 games against ranked teams Take notice.

What difference does it make? Maybe just maybe it was Dana's system that got them the NFL attention.

So, to follow your logic...DH develops great layers but not a very good won-loss picture? Sounds like coaching underachievement to me...unless you don't care about the program.

Only thing I'm mad at is that the team cant seem to play a complete game (offense/defense/st) in big games. Its either the defense is worked over or the offense is inept and sprinkle some special teams in. Today it was the offense but next week it could be the defense's turn.

I think its a recuiting issue. One or two NFL type players does not make a complete team.

Yes recruiting is on the coach but WVU will never have a top 10 class. Our teams were fine when we didn't have to play a Big 12 schedule.

And so on and so on. We all know that WVU will never really challenge the big boys in recruiting...or win the conference title...or be in the playoffs! I mean, we are little old WVU for goodness sakes. But hey we have beer in the stadium! lol:wink::wink:

But...But..................Holgs is a genius (in many circles) when it comes to coaching an offense. And don't you forget it! Warez

How many years has Matt Campbell been at Iowa State? He already has beaten 2 teams ranked in the top 5. Iowa State walked into Norman and won. How many times has Holgorsen done that?
how much longer you think campbell will be with Iowa St, before he moves on and they go back to being the doormat again?

It depends but he has to keep winning if his plan is to move on. If and when he does the best thing they can do is go out and try and find the next best thing. Don't make the mistake of hiring a career assistant or some clown who claims he will be there for the next 20 years.

Only a myth created by fools. Holgorsen's Offense only puts up big points against the ECU and Kansas's of the world. When they played Va tech they had 24 points on 592 yards. You should be scoring over 50 points with that many yards. 508 yards and 24 points against Tcu another pathetic display

Who the hell has had a top 10 class in recruiting in the big 12 outside of Texas and Oklahoma? we have put 16 players in the NFL since we have been members of the Big 12. That is more than any other Big 12 school outside of Oklahoma. You don't know what the hell you're talking about half the time. Stop making excuse's and accepting mediocrity.

TCU 19* 2018
Baylor 25 2014
West Virginia 25 2018*
Oklahoma St 27 2014
Texas Tech 28 2012

* Subject to change

Iowa St, KU, Kansas St have not recruited a top 30 class since 2012

Both TCU and West Virginia are recruiting at their highest levels since entering the Big XII. Like noted this can change tomorrow because not one single player has signed yet anywhere.

Each recruiting site rates players differently.

More importantly UT and OU have tied their highest recruiting class since 2012

Texas 2 2012 2018*
Oklahoma 8 2017 2018*

Yes this in one of the best classes we have had in years. The 2013 class was around 25th or so. The poster I responded to stated that we weren't winning the big 12 because we did not get top 10 classes. No school outside of Texas or Oklahoma gets top 10 classes in this conference.

There are many different ways to win in college football.
I am not an expert but recruiting classes do not always predict the rankings
If you look at the 2014 and 2015 Top 10 recruits
Alabama 1
LSU 2
Ohio St 3
Florida St 4
Texas A&M 5
Auburn 6
Tennessee 7
Georgia 8
Florida 9
USC 10
With the 2015 4 of these schools are not ranked
With only 3 of them in the CFP
The other 3 out of the Top 10

2015
Alabama
USC
Florida St
Tennessee
LSU
Georgia
Ohio State
Auburn
Clemson
Texas
3 of them non ranked
4 of them with a chance at the CFP
3 of them not in the Top 10

No where in the Top 10 do you see Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Penn State or Miami
These are the seniors and juniors

2016 the sophomores
Alabama
LSU
Florida St
Ohio St
Ole Miss
Georgia
Texas
Michigan
Auburn
USC
Once again 3 not ranked
3 of them with a chance at the CFP
4 of them not ranked in the Top 10

Well wvu has had 16 players drafted since we have been members of the big 12. Oklahoma state has had 6. Okie state competes for Big 12 titles. We compete for the middle of the pack in the Big 12. Holgorsen system wastes Talent. Take notice
Or it make less talent look better. Again i ask what kind of numbers are those 16 draft picks outting up in tge NFL? Surely they are all pro bowlers

You are only herr after a loss. Will you disappear again when we beat Iowa State?
