It’s funny that out of everything I said, that’s the only thing you respond to. Trump “ushered it in”, because he’s the first sitting President to literally attempt to encourage his followers to write off facts being reported on as lies. Not specific facts, refuted specifically, but rather a general sense of “trust me only”. And if you think “the media” hasn’t been a source of questionable integrity since the first newspapers were printed, you’re just not as intelligent as I give you credit for. The difference between the manipulated facts of old west stories, the attempts to sway public opinion in favor of military action, the bias of conservative and liberal ideology and the “era of fake news” ushered in by Trump is that there is now a politician determining who and what should be considered “true” to his constituents.....not being held accountable by the media, but rather he’s the one that holds all accountability. That’s dangerous.

What they should do is rebound back into strict integrity standards to ensure above board reporting. Trump is not to blame here, the media is in that they’ve compromised their standards and we’ve allowed them to do it. Think of it like the US military giving in and beginning to actively torture and kill civilians. You don’t blame the target. The media is supposed to be better than it is right now.

Liberal bias exists to be sure, but acting like this nation (including the media) wasn’t controlled, influenced, and owned by conservative white males for the majority of its existence....and in need of a severe change to allow for muffled voices to be heard.....is fvcking ignorant.

Balance is always key to be sure....and don’t act like there isn’t conservative media spinning their lies daily too. My post was to a white male that was whining about how liberal bias has dominated the media for the last 20 years. My response is.....good......shows that there is change. Although I’d like to see more balance, at least the massive imbalance that prevented many from experiencing American liberty is being corrected viciously.
