I doubt I am alone in this opinion I have given before but will do one more time. No doubt haters like dave will respond with a stupid response. As always, he is irrelevant and will be just laughed at with his stupidity.

I mostly disagree with McCain's politics. I am very much in agreement and appreciate his willingness to work across the aisle, has taken on his own party when he sees them in the wrong and his service to his country and how he has never used it as a tool to be better than someone else. He has been very humble when others call him a "hero" and that is admirable. I expressed the opinion in 2007 and still believe today that I could have lived with him as President, even though I don't like his willingness to use military force at every notion, but when he selected that god awful person for his VP pick, then my opinion changed and the country couldn't elect him. There was no way that worthless being should be one step away from leading this country. Unfortunately, the 2016 election put a person as worthless into the office and you now see the chaos bad decisions turn into when one's vote isn't used with intelligence but rather an emotional response.
Not much to disagree with here. I’d add that we made a poor choice in 08 and reaffirmed it in 12. McCain and Romney would have been light years better than Obama. In 16, Kasich should have been the man, hopefully he will in 20.

Agreed mostly. Politics aside, he is extremely honorable and well respected. His selection of Palin as VP really revealed some questionable decision-making, but aside from that, I really do like McCain.

McCain's candidacy was dead by the time he picked Palin. He took a flier on an unknown to try and jolt his campaign.

I disagree. He still had a good shot when the VP selection was made. The total tanking of the economy was what killed his shot. While it wasn't his fault, the fact that the sitting president was a Republican did him in.

I remember. He never really got much support from the far right who were anxious to start a new cause (tea party).

There was no way the old angry white dude was going to beat the charismatic black guy. Palin or no Palin.

I supported McCain in the primary in '00 and voted for him in '08, and have always respected his willingness to do what he thinks is right. I think McCain's problem now is 1) he doesn't like the fact that we have an arrogant *** as President and 2) that arrogant *** isn't a part of the typical Republican establishment.

I like the fact that McCain is willing to call a spade a spade, unlike half the GOP establishment who are tight lipped publicly when dealing with Biff.
