Is the FBI director allowed to go talk about a secret investigation w/o authority? I believe the FBI ultimately answers to the executive office. Mueller's investigation lead to uncovering new Russian money laundering "apparatus" and a national security breach, which lead to convictions. Sounds like Mueller did a pretty good job.
There is congressional oversight. Especially coming from the most transparent administration in history.
There's oversight, but there is also executive privilege. Isn't this one of the reasons Comey decided to take notes?

I am sure Congress would have had no desire to have oversight of on of the bigger investigations in our history. The bottom line is that the story from the Hill raises a lot of questikns and both Comey and Mueller need to answer a few questions. Maybe they are not all in on it but we wont know till we ask. Lol.

Maybe not. There is a problem though and while he may be clean as a whistle in regards to it, it is still a problem for him if people have questions for him, at least until he answers.

It is absolutely collusion. It might be poor collusion, but he stated his intention to going to the meeting was to get dirt on Hillary from a Russian lawyer. It's not rocket science here.
Don't see how I can be disappointed, I'm not expecting a new President because of this (nor really wanting). I hold out little hope that the extremes on either side learn much from this, but it's a possible a decent amount of people could learn something. Oh and I do hope that Flynn or his son go to jail.
Getting dirt is not collusion. He'll never face charges for that meeting because they would never stick.
I don't think collusion is even a specific crime, so I'm not talking about charges. He met with a foreign government with the intent to get dirt on an opponent. It's fascinating that people are okay and dismissive of this.

Possibly. Hopefully this investigation gets in to that. Several campaign managers from past campaigns went on the record and pretty forcefully denied that and said you turn those communications over to the FBI immediately. Seems silly to stick their necks out for no reason.
Selling Uranium to the Russians was illegal, having a private server to hide it all was illegal, lying about it all was illegal and trying to obstruct justice investigating all of that was also illegal and you're worried about a failed meeting to dig up oppo research on a political candidate?
