No consistency in the NCAA. It's all about the name of the institution when it comes to handing out judgement. Pisses me off.
NCAA doesn't care anymore. The SEC, Penn State, Miami & Ohio State in Football and UNC, Louisville, UCLA, and Zona in Basketball are all teflon-nothing sticks. For that reason, cheating gets more and more obvious and spreads more and more.

Agreed. But with how different they are with their penalties, you'd bet WVU would forfeit their games and probably be put on probation. [laughing]
Should have enrolled him in an African-American Studies program, one open to all students, and gotten him a couple of A's. I think every university in the country will have similar courses on the winter semester catalog. Pack it with the athletes and sprinkle in a few other "students" and close the course as full. As long as it's in the catalog and other non-athlete students participate it's okay.

NCAA is total hypocrisy. When there’s no standard or procedure, this is what happens. It’s whatever they feel like doing as a punishment whenever they feel like it.

They care .. what they’ve always cared about ... MONEY.
When they destroy the perception of integrity in college sports, they’ll find the MONEY dries-up.
So you mean to tell me that you actually think that African American studies is only available to African Americans?
There actually is. That's why North Carolina was able to get away with it.
