.223 caliber is basically 5.56 mm or rather the standard military round. M16/M4, M249 SAW, etc.

.308 caliber is also known as 7.62 mm, the other standard round, a bit heavier. The M60, M240G, M14s, AR10s, that kind of stuff.

The one thing you could do is require health care professionals to report the crazies to the police. Are you for that? That's what didn't happen here at tech, teachers knew how crazy Cho was and refused to do anything about it.

Ok...what is your solution and how do you propose to enforce it? The only solution I see is to remove the billions of guns and ammo already in the hands of people.........and you and I both know that's never going to happen. When police try to get the guns off the streets in cities with very tough gun laws they are faced with all kinds of lawsuits.

The left is so dishonest. They had eight years to do something about guns and all they did was talk. The left is not serious about gun control as shown by their talk minus action. The left only wants to caoitalize on gun issues, not affect change.

No one ever expects dave to be honest or factually correct about anything but this is too much. The dems had two years in control and even at that, couldn't get past a senate filibuster in those two years on much of anything except healthcare since as McConnell put it, "we will block everything". The NRA and the GOP is successful at one thing as it pertains to governing without dispute. And that is blocking common sense from protecting American citizens.
