we need the Convention of States to stop this madness...

it is out of control...
This is actually needed to unfvck what's transpired since sequestration and CR have decimated readiness levels through reduced sparing, reduced training, and unaddressed obsolescence. This will take a decade to resolve.

I'm ALL for military spending...

but these numbers are insane ....
It looks bad because it wasn't spent previously which compounds the issue. If we would have been sustaining the issues it would have cost less but now because we have to repair the issue it costs more.

We need to make them break out what goes to the military and what goes to defense contractors. I have friends who work for Defense contractors with all DoD contracts and they don't think they are paid with taxpayer money. Nothing pisses me off more than Defense contractor CEO bonuses for making money during wars. Let the Military close all the bases they don't want also.

You understand without defense contractors, the military doesn't function, right? They've outsourced a lot of jobs to defense contractors that traditional military roles used to perform. By doing so, they've increased productivity, decreased standing military numbers, and most importantly, decreased cost.

Now, that's not even discussing the development and sustainment of technology.
