Obviously not all Muslims are terrorists although equally as obvious a disproportionate number of terrorists are Muslims. The problem on this issue is that neither side will talk honestly and instead just panders to what their base wants to hear.
As Maajid Nawaz says, it doesn't have everything to do with Islam and it doesn't have nothing to do with Islam, it has something to do with Islam. Maajid Nawaz is fantastic (and Muslim). He is also on the Southern Poverty Law Center's list of anti-Muslim extremists. The Southern Poverty Law Center has historically targeted people like the KKK but now they target Muslims who are in favor of keeping church/mosque separate from state. It's crazy. They've gone from targeting religious fundamentalists that threaten people to targeting the people that religious fundamentalists threaten.
All Muslims, by their association with the Islamofascist mandates of their faith are enemies our the United States of America.
We draw the line at being traitors to the USA. Yes, by current standards some of the people did bad things that were acceptable by the standards of the time but none of them tried to destroy the USA. Insisting on honoring Confederates is akin to insisting on honoring Benedict Arnold.

I love the fact that Ops et al call confederates traitors because they tried to leave a voluntary union but doesn't give two ***** that the left has been shitting on the founding Documents for a hundred years. Doesn't matter that they changed the rules in the middle of the game and expected everyone to just jump on board.
If the Confederates weren't traitors to the USA then the word "traitor" has no meaning. I say plenty bad about the Left when I deem it accurate. The absolute last thing I want to be is someone that just parrots a line instead of thoughtfully considering each issue on its merits. You should try it sometime. It's actually pretty liberating.
