Just wondering if there is any talk of Joe Manchin running for the Democratic Party Presidential nominee in 2020? He has been getting a lot of exposure over the last few years and seems to be the most moderate Dem around. I think he would play well in middle America against Trump. Just curious.

Go over to the OT Board and let WVPATX tell you why you are wrong to think that way.

I think the Mylan scandal ended any dim hopes of that happening. His fingerprints are all over that mess.

No offense to WVU, but I can't imagine our school producing a presidential candidate. Typical background for a US presidential nominee is an Ivy if not somewhere like Wharton, Duke, Georgetown, etc. Our party school image would be trumped up as a major negative.

Against Thrump? I thought something like 70% of WV voted for Trump no?

Give me a grassroots President from a state school. We've had enough of these dipshit ivy leaguers.

Are you serious? Joe Manchin has postured along side Trump a good many times lately. The Democratic Party will never nominate Manchin ............... for this reason. He is getting exposure. That's true. But, folks like Nancy P. and the like can't be happy with Manchin. Nancy and some others have let time pass them by.

The odds of the Democratic Party nominating Joe Manchin are roughly similar to the odds of the Republican Party nominating Susan Collins.

Joe's gonna have his hands full with getting re-elected to U.S. Senate. Doesn't anyone recall the mess with $24 million computer equipment by the state. Then Charleston paper found out it was mostly sitting in a warehouse.
