Stoops as arrogant as ever. He is a great coach and can't fault his win/loss record. But he can be such a ***.

I don't know that I see any particularly arrogant quotations in that article. The fact is, Oklahoma has been the only consistent performer in the Big 12 over the past decade--won or shared 7 of the last 11 conference championships.

But in the end, it comes down to one thing: you want an arrogant prig to shut up? Find a way to beat him. At least beat him once. We haven't been able to do that.

What are we 0-5 now against him? Maybe one meeting was kind of close? When we joined I was hopeful we could be competitive with them but it hasn't materialized, we have a long way to go before we are at that tier

The first game was 50-49, that's kind of close. The next one was 16-7, still kind of close. Since then some of Oklahoma's best plays have been made by those wearing WVU uniforms. That is what has to stop to put an end to this skid.

We got a once in a lifetime performance from Tavon against them one year and still lost, every other game by 2+ scores. Were not on their level

It's just the vibe I get from Stoops. I think he is arrogant but that just my opinion. But there is no denying he is a very successful coach.
If WVU goes undefeated under Holgorsen and wins the national title, will anyone on this board care whether he is arrogant or not. The more coaches win the more detractors go after everything but their record. It's called sour grapes.

Wvu didn't have any problem beating Oklahoma in the 2008 Fiesta bowl. We exposed them as fat and slow. The problem wvu has these days against Oklahoma is there is a big gap in coaching between the 2 schools. Wvu is stuck with an overrated offensive coordinator masquerading as a head coach. 16th in total offense last year and 50th in scoring is pathetic. Offensive genius my a$$. Stoops isn't anything to write home about either just ask Ohio state and Houston. Oklahoma will get curb stomped again in Columbus but they will feast on the weak big 12 as usual. if wvu had a real coach we would finish no lower than 2nd on most years but we would have won the big 12 by now. Winning the big 12 isn't saying much just ask Houston, Ohio State, Wvu when we were members of the big east and Boise state.

Most successful coaches have a slight arrogance or big egos. If you read my posts I only stated Stoops come across arrogant now where did I say he was a terrible coach? Also what the hell does my opinion of another teams coach have to do with Holgrosen or The Mountaineer team?

The trolls really have you seriously overly defensive. The Stoops topic was only a talking point. lol

Unfortunately beating our chest about a game nearly a decade ago and 5 losses to OU later, where all of the players and coaches involved on our end are long gone makes us look small time. Time to create some new memories

I anticipate another beat down!

What's OSUs QB situation?
J.T. Barrett returns. Kevin Wilson was hired as the new O.C. after Indiana had fired him as its head coach. Wilson has a good offensive mind, and will help improve tOSU's passing game.

You are right its time to create some new memories but its not gonna happen with the clown we have as coach now. The bum hasn't beaten a top 25 team in almost 3 years. The only memories he has given us is a curb stomping to an 8-4 Miami team that had beat none of the big boys in the acc last season. He squeaked out a 1 point win against a 6-6 pac 12 team and got smacked by a 7-5 Texas am team in the liberty. If we had better coaching we wouldn't be 0-5 against Oklahoma. The only memories wvu will make as long as this guy is coach is getting smacked around by every half decent team we play.

Ps The orange bowl doesn't count it was with another coach's players

DH has certainly had his shortcomings but the guy just won 10 games and has a truly legit QB set to take the reigns. DH has churned out top offenses out of guys who were simply talented enough to be NFL backups, if this guy is a legit 1st round talent we will be lighting up all of these top 25 teams that have for the most part had their way with us. Combined with Gibby's D there is a lot to look forward to with the current staff, we've waited long enough for these results and expectations, so might as well get behind the guy now, you can railroad him all you want next offseason if we fail this year.

Every half decent coach could have won ten games with that weak schedule. This qb will be better than what FH has had in the past but he is no pat white or major harris. The University of Florida didn't think he was good enough to keep and they haven't produced a good NFL qb in at least 20 years. We lost allot of experience on the oline our best WR and have to rebuild the defense. this team will be back to the same old 7-5 season and a crappy bowl bid. The guy can't get the job done and that game against Miami proved that the big 12 is a joke. But you'll find that out when we lose to Va tech on September 3rd.

7 other Big XII teams failed to win 10 games last year.

Florida fell apart when Grier left in 16.

Everything else you said is pure speculation.

Someone asked Joe Paterno during 'the streak' when WVU would beat his team. He answered, "When they have better players." He was correct. That is also when WVU will beat Oklahoma again. This year? We'll see.

As opposed to what? Being the National Championship caliber program we have always been?

DAMN!

You are wrong more often than Rita get's nailed by strangers.

It's like you can't help but walking into those brick walls.
Well what exactly am I wrong about genius? We didn't beat a ranked team in 2016 nor did we in 2015. So that goes back to at least 2014 when we beat Baylor so i am correct when i said almost 3 years. Maybe you should look up the meaning of the word almost as for the other comments they are just pure speculation at this point but I wouldn't count on beating Va tech they didn't have much problem beating Miami and they play in the acc which is a superior conference to the big 12. Im sure you haven't figured that out yet. If insulting a former coach's wife is the best you can come up with it pretty much speaks volumes to your critical thinking skills.

Florida also played much better competition when grier left. The people who think he is going to be a 1st round draft pick are speculating as well. Pro prospects are a dime a dozen and NFL scouts aren't really paying that close attention until someone is eligible.
