failed to mention what many feel is Dana's weakness. Dana's play calling has been questioned more on the negative side than on the positive side(IMO) The hiring of Spivital has me optimistic about this season. Fresh Offensive play calling with a new QB (no way this a slap at Howard. We were fortunate to have him considering our luck with QBs not panning out), a great set of receivers and running backs and Gibson's defensive should result in a very good season (that is if we do not play as we did against Okla. I think we had an excellent season last year but the egg laid against Miami still stings. Beating OKla will probably take more fire power than we can muster, but let's not lay another egg here. A good season followed by a bowl win would be a feather in Dana's hat. A good coach hires good people who do their jobs well and recruit the players that fit our needs. Let's wait and see what 2017 brings.

Huggs coaches basketball and has done so for what? 30 plus years? Holgs coaches football and he has done so for what? 6 years?

Comparisons can not be made.

What posts? If they are there they are from posters on my ignore list, known pot stirrers, so I don't see what you're talking about. Or are you just stirring the pot?

Comparisons can be made as long as you recognize Dana is a newbie to head coaching and Bob has been here since air was pumped into the first basketball. There's nothing wrong with comparing Nick Saban to John Wooden. They are SO alike in their coaching talents, which is why they dominated/dominate their respective sports. Attention to details. Organized. Focused.

Spivatal is nothing but a recycled coach. He got kicked to the curb at AM. He is not the answer. 2017 the team will be around 7-5. They have to rebuild the O-Line and the Oline was probably the Biggest strength on offense last year. Without a good O line the running game suffers along with the timing in the passing game. If you look at the schedule all the tough games outside Of Okie state are on the road and the Fluffer has proven many a time that he can't win big games on the road. The days of 7-5 and Cactus bowl berths will return.

want to make a wager? Name the amount. I say we do better than 7-5. Put your money where your mouth is.

Yes sir...................I did see all the Hugs vs Dana posts that the OP is talking about. All of a sudden they were removed from the site. I guess the moderator took them down. Yeah, that's where they went.

So suddenly experience matters ?

Should I copy and paste that to the other thread so you can just continue debating yourself ?

That ignore feature is a good one. Eliminates a lot of immaturity.

Yea... ...it's very, 'I'm rubber and you're glue...what you say bounces off me and sticks to you'.

Or maybe envision a poster with his fingers stuck in his ears while at the same time managing to type a post about being open-minded.

Hey Tcu, Baylor, K state, Oklahoma all on the road plus neutral site game against Va tech and Fluffer Holgorsens inability to win big road games. Don't make wagers you will lose. 7-5 at best 2017 will be ground hog day another rebuilding year that never ends.

I am willing to make a bet that we do better than 7-5. I never talk trash or compare players, but I believe our new Quarterback if he stays healthy is going to be a difference maker.

There is a lot wrong with comparisons. One coaches BB one coaches FB. Nothing to compare.

Not gonna happen. Have to rebuild the Oline plus replace are best receiver. The defense has lost some critical personal as well. All the tough games are on the road except Ok state. Fluffer Holgorsen has proven many a time that he can't win big games on the road. If he's lucky 8 wins at most but more like 7 or less.

I'm predicting 10 - 2 next year. Losses to Oklahoma and a head scratcher to TCU.

Any production we lose due to players leaving early or graduating will be more than accounted for by the addition of Grier.

Its funny for all these years you said we couldn't do better than 7-5 were in the big 12 blah blah blah. Now you put your faith in a guy who's never even started a game in a wvu uniform. A head scratcher to Tcu? really they return the most starters in the conference this season. A K State game on the road with a team that is returning allot. You're dreaming if you think this team will win 10 games.

Yes, I am putting faith into Grier. I have heard nothing other than that he is excellent and his performance as a true freshman at Florida validates that. Not to mention he is in the 2nd year in Dana's system where players usually show noticeable improvement.

People are also forgetting that we get Dravon Henry, who is our best player on defense, back from injury. We get Crawford back and have two good guys right behind him. Our offense should be fun to watch next season.

I'm predicting 10-2 but could see 9-3 also.

We will win 8 games at best. This will be a rebuilding year. Kstate, Oklahoma and TCU all on the road and each of those teams will be better. The UF system is not the same as the wvu system and Greir never faced the top teams on the gators schedule that year. The oline needs to be rebuilt. Wvu doesn't replace all american centers like Alabama. The top receiver is gone. It takes more than a QB to have a good offense. Wvu will finish 5th or 6th in the Big 12 in 2017.
