But whom's (? - I'm no English major) wires were tapped. Couldn't it be the Russians? Let's get to the bottom of it. POTUS should de-classify the FISA warrant(s).

I can't answer that Coop. Trump says his wires were tapped. Russians calling into him would certainly have been collected under that ongoing surveillance. I still find it hard to believe that if Trump was cavorting with them, surely by now that sort of damaging information would have been leaked along with some of the other intelligence that has found its way into the Media?

How are they (Media) getting that sensitive classified information? Who's leaking it? How? For what purpose?

Trump needs to drain the swamp, there is just incredible amounts of illegality and lawbreaking going on here.

Can't you see that Coop?

By the way, who tapped and leaked Trump's conversation with the Australian Prime Minister and the Mexican President? These calls came from the White House.

I agree, get to the bottom of it. I think it best if Trump stays completely out of it. The libs won't trust anything he is involved in. Let the Intelligence Committees handled it, they are bipartisan.
Total agreement.

I see some lawbreaking leaks. I don't see where Obama tapped his wires - which is what POTUS claimed in a 6am Twitter tirade.

Comey met with reps and senators on Capitol Hill recently to update them on their investigation. Do you feel you should have been invited?

Summary from Trump's perspective:

1. His call to Australian PM tapped and leaked
2. His call to Mexican President tapped and leaked
3. 8 Media reports on surveillance and intense investigation of Trump by at least 4 intelligence services (7 outlets are liberal, one libertarian)
4. Flynn conversation with Russian Ambassador leaked (raw transcripts)
5. Sessions meeting with Russian Ambassador leaked
6. Obama's very strange order to release raw intelligence to all intelligence agencies just 14 days before he leaves office
7. NY Times reports Obama Administration laid land mines for Trump Administration

I would say this would be enough circumstantial information to me that someone, somewhere, somehow was privy to the communications of Trump's aides and possibly Trump himself.

I have a slightly different read. Trump did talk about phone taps. But surveillance is so much more sophisticated today that many different kinds of surveillance may have been conducted. I am not saying it happened, but the circumstantial evidence is there.

The one major question we still have no answer to PAX is who is doing the leaking? It's obvious who the target is (at least to me). Nothing leaked is aimed at making Trump look good, so to me using simple logic it's clear he's the object of some sort of ongoing smear campaign.

So who's behind it?

I have my suspicions but no real proof. I hope we get to the bottom of it.

3 million illegals voting? Maybe, maybe not.

Did illegals vote in the last election in relatively large numbers?

Yes. They did. How many?

Who knows?

It's 3 million. Waiting for this Taurettes-driven tweet to be proven.

As I posted the NY Times reported that Obama Administration laid land mines. My guess is that this had to come from one or more of our intelligence agencies. FBI? NSA? Who knows? But obviously, the leaks are intended to hurt, slow, disrupt and potentially destroy Trump's presidency. No wonder he is pissed. The proof is that the raw transcript of Flynn's conversation was leaked. This had to happen inside intelligence. With Obama's order, it makes it much more difficult to track the leaker. Those transcripts are very, very confidential.

His conversations with the Australian PM and Mexican President were leaked as well. This had to either be leaked by intelligence listening in to those conversations or some holdover at the White House.

Cry me a river you delicate flower. Leaks have been happening since the beginning of our country. Welcome to the big leagues.

And the Obama Administration was harder on leakers than any other President. If you live in a glass house, don't cast stones. He even named James Rosen (Fox Reporter) a co-conspirator in a criminal case to gain access to his and his parent's emails and other communications.

Wrong guy RPJ. I'm concerned about protecting the integrity of our clandestine operations against our real enemies. I know to you and the rest of the maniacal Left that's Trump, but I'm more concerned about Radical Islamic terrorists who want to see both you and me dead.

Especially me...I'm Christian. They might spare you RPJ since you worship a totalitarian state similar to their design only as a Theocracy.

But if we don't get a handle over who's trying to undermine our intelligence capability to operate without being exposed, we're all in big trouble.

Yes, he threw James Risen (NY Times reporter) or treated to throw him in jail. He surveilled a reporter (James Rosen) claiming he was a "criminal co-conspirator". He did throw hissy fits. He went after leakers with a vengeance.

And what the hell does a temporary halt to improve our vetting have to do with this? And he said, the FAKE NEWS the media uses is the enemy of the people. And I completely agree. If the media is spreading fake/false news, that is propaganda.

RPJ who initiated the idea of "controlling" alternate News sights on the internet?

Who tried to shut down investigations done by reporters like Sharyl Atkisson, who said White House officials called CBS to get her stories stopped and hacked her phones and computers?

Who wanted to revive the "fairness doctrine" to shut down Talk radio?

Who personally tried to destroy the credibility of a major news gathering operation?

For me the value of this thread has been in how the Left went from denying Trump was bugged, to speculating what the bugged leaks prove? It's not so much now what he was up to with the Russians, as much as who is behind the snooping on Trump?

The Left is trying to keep the focus on Trump, but it's steadily shifting away from him and onto the sheer depth of the snooping and leaking operation?

Fascinating.

[laughing] You are crazier than a **** house rat.

They just began the investigation of Russia's meddling in the election. The investigators aren't changing their focus based on a middle of the night tweet by lunatic that constantly lies.

News flash countryroads89, what you just posted has already happened...probably much to the dismay of Obama and the Left who wanted to keep the focus of the investigators only on Trump...not who was spying and/or leaking.

Too late. Cat's out of the bag. Now the Media is denying they reported on bugging, leaked transcripts as a result of those bugs, and that the bugging was even active.

Since all that is now proven as True, the effort is underway to blame Trump for shifting the focus of the investigation. Another one of my "crazy way out wacky" predictions.

I wrote on 3.6.17:
"Trump will be accused of using Russians to frame Obama and pin their (Russians) hacking and spying on the Dems and the Left. The actual spying of the Left will be blamed on Russians who were being paid by Trump to dig up dirt on the Democrats."

This is exactly what the Left and the Media are trying to do now, to keep the focus away from Obama's illegal espionage on a major U.S. political candidate.

Trump's "middle of the night tweet" changed the entire focus of the investigation countryroads89, and now it's exploded into potentially the biggest political scandal in U.S. history.

No Russians...our people countryroads89. Corrupt to the core.

Aren't you proud?

RPJ, Wikileaks isn't releasing bad information about Trump. What are you talking about?
It's all about Trump with you morons, isn't it. Wikileaks claimed yesterday that they've hacked the CIA and will release the methods they use to spy on electronic coms. But that has nothing to do with Trump, right...being President and all. I'll let you wait for his tweet so you can determine whether this is a good or a bad thing (for Trump, of course-it's all about him). You people are insane.

RJP my understanding was Wikileaks did that document dump to prove it was not Russians that hacked us to get the information they obtained. As I understand it, they said that information came from inside the IC.

Correct me if I'm wrong please?

Wikileaks yesterday = shiny object.

Trump already made it clear that he loves Wikileaks. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if the investigation revealed Trump Campaign colluded with Wikileaks and Assange and Snowden, all in on propagating false media in an attempt to throw the election.

On 3.7.17 in my "way out wacky predictions list" I wrote:

"Once no proof emerges to back the charge of Russians colluding with Trump, the Media will then try to blame Trump for creating the impression he did not try to influence the election when he knew all along they actually did"

and this:

"Trump will be accused of using Russians to frame Obama and pin their (Russians) hacking and spying on the Dems and the Left. The actual spying of the Left will be blamed on Russians who were being paid by Trump to dig up dirt on the Democrats"

(remember my "way out wacky predictions" were based in poking fun at the lengths the Left will go to trying to prove that their baseless charges on Trump/Russian collusion is actually true)

I'm not sure RPJ...I asked you to please correct me if I'm wrong as I fully acknowledge I could be.

However as I understand it, Wikileaks is saying they did that dump to reveal their particular methods and sources to penetrate us. It had nothing to do with "Russians". They are showing us how they have easily penetrated us, what their methods are, and how we actually have helped them procure the information they have accessed from within our own IC!

Again, if I'm misstating their intentions, or misinterpreting their statement, please correct me? I'm not trying to argue with you, I am genuinely concerned about this.

The article helps RPJ, and underscores our need to find out where these leaks on the Trump administration are coming from? This is dangerous. The article seems to suggest it is the vulnerability of the IC itself (or leakers within it) that appear most at risk.

It only hints at possible Russian involvement, but does not conclusively say Russians are behind Wikileak's efforts. The article inaccurately says Wikileaks is unreliable, yet all of the information they have obtained and released has been 100% correct over the years.

I do agree the Trump administration needs to get to the bottom of both the sources and purposes of the leakers. If our IC is involved, those responsible for revealing our sources and methods need to be prosecuted, and then strict access limits need to be set up and enforced to prevent Wikileaks from so easily compromising our most basic security systems.

No, he threatened them with jail time and lied to a court calling Rosen, a reporter, a co-conspirator in a crime to gain access to his and his parent's emails. That is over the top.

Ban? You mean vet? Temporary 90 ban to make sure we can vet people from thee 7 most dangerous countries in the world (according to Obama). These countries are either sworn enemies of the U.S. or have NO FUNCTIONING GOVERNMENT, therefore no way to vet their people.
