WV threw up way to many air balls and then when they got their biggest lead of the game...........decided to go into the 'panic mode'. Started throwing up shots from 10 feet beyond the 3 point line. Wow!

After three bad halves of basketball vs. WVU, Motley finally decided to prove that he was the best player on the Floor.

Motley's exceptionable game and Adrian's uncharacteristic non-factor were the difference, although Carter made a valiant effort to overcome the odds.

The Big 12 tournament will be a donnybrook.
March Madness will be the Maddest and craziest ever!

My bowel movements are inconsistent... ...never had one I'd consider a winner either.

Oh paper my fellow poster... this team is better than the old UCLA squads...in your eyes. Maybe you can step back, appreciate the team for what they are, be aware of what they aren't and stop make excuses. lol2

I see a top 10 team in WVU. A lot of AP voters agree with me. I can handle your disagreement

Actually, Paper not too far off the mark. Vegas presently has us at 32-1 odds to win the big enchilada, with only 12 teams with better odds. Getting to 16 not exceptionally optimistic, after that crazy things can happen, just need to get hot and favorable match ups.

Does a Top 10 team consistently lose large leads...lose games against teams it is heavily favored...not have a go to shooter...or have fans who think that finishing third or fourth in a conference is the definition of world beater? This team plays hard (not necessarily smart), has a coach with a huge WVU heart, works as a team, and most of the time plays lights out defense. Love this team but...way too inconsistent way too often to be taken seriously in the Tournament. Making the Dance is not the definition of success. Just means you have been invited to the party. Shades of last season. Hope I am wrong but I doubt it. Regardless...this is a good debate.

Road wins at #11 and #1 are tough to come by this time of year. Yeh we lost those 2 but we're 6 and 2 in he last 8.

SFA had won 21 straight last year. Perhaps one of the toughest 14 seeds in history.

Of course anything can happen but I like our chances more than say...Baylor.

You're flailing. And it's kinda pathetic

check out 2011 UConn

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/team/schedule/_/id/41/year/2011

started 10-0

played 5 total OT games

four Ls in February

dropped last two games of regular season, including at WVU

just 9-9 in the Big East

won the National Championship as a 3 seed, West region. was at their Sweet 16 & Elite 8 wins in Anaheim. Defense + lethal guard play

Their lethal guard play was from Napier, Lamb, and Boatright.

We have our Napier in Carter and we have our Boatright in Phillip. What we do not have is our Lamb. If a third guard could step up we might have a chance. Miles has disappeared and Myers isnt on that level either.

WVU has beaten EVERY team in the Big 12, the #1 basketball conference in America, including both games against TCU and Texas and maybe, after Friday, Iowa State.

I'd say that negates anything you want to use to knock the 10 pit bulls on defense who have caused 368 turnovers (!!!) and the mad scientist on the stool. 328 steals, 134 blocked shots. 510 assists.

Did the ACC withdraw from the NCAA? It must have been a thrill, waking up each morning in Northern Ohio, just to read your sports columns.
I was just quoting the intelligent experts, just as I am.

Big 12 is better from top to bottom, experts agree. ACC has some good teams, of course, but it's top heavy.

55% of ACC teams have 18 or more victories.
70% of Big 12 teams have 18 or more victories.

Big 12 has 3 teams in the top 11. ACC has 2.

Lunardi has 10 out of 15 ACC schools (67%) in the Dance, and five out of 10 (50%) Big 12 schools in the Dance. If either conference is "top heavy," then it is the Big 12.
