win season. And looking good for yet another NCAA tourney run.

AND they are doing it in the best basketball conference in the country AGAIN.

Its a great time to be a Mountaineer fan! From a 10 win football season to the strong showing by basketball this year--already beating #1 and #2 , Women's soccer playing for the championship and rifle winning, among other strong accomplishments in WVU athletics--may never have been better.

Its fantastic that Mountaineer fans get to enjoy such successes.

There's only one team in football WVU didn't compete with in conference which was OU. Definitely trending up in football as well as basketball and other sports.

Few programs in the nation are doing as well across the board

Well we havent hit .500 in conference play(overall). So lets not jump the gun.

Just as suspected the non WVU crowd chimes in. Makes one wonder if there are actually any WVU fans here? Doesn't appear so--certainly none of the replies are from any.

Which begs the question--what are you doing here? What's the agenda? Pretty clear.

More like...happiness at the successes and not overblowing any and every mistep as the sign of a fan.

If you aren't happy about 20 plus basketball wins many from within the best conference in America, or 10 football wins in a schedule of 12? Then you aren't fooling any real fan because you certainly are not one.

No reason for such a miserable sap to be on a board like this. Unless of course you are someone from outside with an agenda.

Since 2005 wvu has been in the tournament 9 times. Included in this run is a FF, elite eight, 3 sweet sixteens, and some early exits in the 1st weekend. It's difficult to comprehend for non-wvu fans and trolls on this board but there's a good chance for another run this year. It's also a solid resume over that time span that competes with most programs in college hoops.

I am pleased about the overall state of the football and basketball program, but am allowed to have my criticisms of each.

Quit being such a *****. And the Big 12 is not the best basketball conference. That would be the ACC.

The BIG 12 is what 6-1 vs the ACC this season, yet ACC trolls with their alternative facts claim that makes the ACC better than the BIG 12 ?! LOL!!! Not even close.

More troll rambling from a person so utterly disturbed and separated from reality that they visit someone else's boards daily to put down that program. BTW HC won the popular vote by an enormous margin and if weren't for republinazi redistricting and foreign interference in collusion with the present fiasco then it wouldn't have been close in any aspect. Regardless, real facts are still real and "alternative facts" are still LIES. Something nuts like yourself excel in.

Just curious to know... Do you feel the BIG 12 is better than the Big 10? Just checking, cuz as you know, Big 10 is 7-3 'gainst Big 12.

I'll have to look into who played who. If the Big 10 played the best in the BIG 12 and beat them then yes, they are probably a better league. If the wins came against the bottom? Not so much.

Against the ACC the BIG 12 has wins against top teams in that league like Duke, Louisville and Virginia

Indiana, which is 5-9 in B1G play, beat Big 12 King Kansas. More spinning like a top in 3, 2, 1....

Goodness Buck...you are such a luminary. And I, for one, are so impressed with your command of the powers of reasoning and debate. Now if HC had only had you on the staff she might have won something other than cities. Perhaps you could have convinced some of us working stiffs (deplorables) in the working parts of the country to vote for Bill's wife. Just sayin'. But back to WVU sports...you sure know how to get it right. Look how you were spot on on Big 12-2=10 expansion. Who were the new teams again? That impressed a lot of us. lol again. Keep up the insightful comments!

No it's not original trust me. I know two of them in Huntington right now.

Also one who is a Marshall/Kentucky/FSU "fan"

And a Marshall/Texas "fan"

AND

A Marshall/Ohio State fan

These people are pathetic because they are really die hard Marshall fans but have to root for other programs so they can enjoy a winning tradition.

Even though it's not a real experience because they only get real joy when their actual favorite Marshall wins. Which is not often.

How many have you had lately?

The last title for Michigan was 2013 in men's swimming and diving and Gymnastics 2014.
Baseball - 1962
Basketball - 1989
Field Hockey - 2001
Football 1997 -before that one it was 1948 (probably bought one like Pitt has)
Men's Golf 1935
Hockey 1998
Softball - 2005
Men's Tennis 1967
Men's Track & Field 1923
Men's Trampoline 1970 (does this sport even exist?)

Michigan won its last national title (any designation) in 2014 -- men's gymnastics. Before that, the last national titles (any designation) were men's swimming & diving (2013) men's gymnastics (2013,'10, '99), softball (2005), field hockey (2001), ice hockey (1998) and football in 1997 (Associated Press).

It's been few years since Michigan has been relevant
