their own team.

news flash to many on this site: it doesn't just happen in Morgantown.

Not that it's right. I still disagree with booing college kids and it does nothing to help the team or recruiting. Regardless our fans aren't the only ones.

BTW Fedora for unc called a terrible trick play on 4th and 2.

You're paying money to watch so who cares about booing. You don't think FSU, Alabama, etc have had down games and boos that followed but it don't stop them or upset anyone's feelings.

Our fan base is a bunch of pansies.

Setting aside that it happens with many teams (my original point), the two most important questions are:
1.Does booing help the team improve its play or win? (A: No)
2. Does booing help with recruits (A: No)

So, that's why fans shouldn't boo our team. Do you have a right after paying for a ticket? Do you have a right to free speech? Maybe you do have that right, but who cares. This has nothing to do with your rights as a fan, or being pansies or being soft or anything else. Point is, it does nothing to help your team and certainly could be a negative with recruiting. Do you think recruits standing on the sidelines are endeared to the program by hearing you boo?

How much does a college education cost?

Fans shouldn't boo college players because it's simply in bad taste.

I am not saying fans should book just that these athletes are in fact getting paid with college tuition.

JJ! Was thinking about you, skyhawk & some of the old TSP/WVP posters. Don't frequent here as often as I should. Mainly reading the articles. Hope all is well.

Some of us have ventured over to http://www.wvtailgatecentral.com/forum_tgc/index.php to talk wv high school sports. Marv, Muzzy, Herdfan, wvwild, gbb, ed, Pioneer PA & others are there. Been fairly active of late with playoffs. Come visit.

My messaging is in semi retirement. I don't know anything about WV high school sports to provide any good replies or posts over there. Too busy across the Tug and Big Sandy to stay caught up.

Considering the complexities of college education and how many on this board likely value one major over the others, I'm not sure that even qualifies as being "paid."

Hell JJ, I'm just over there keeping up with some of the old Preps chums. I have zero knowledge of current high school sports other than Mingo Central is playing for the AA title and somehow Bridgeport isn't.

PS I tried messaging you and can't figure it out on here. Not sure if that got disabled.

I only boo high school and middle school athletes. It's best to teach them the harsh reality of sports. If you are not good enough or your team is weak. You don't deserve applause or "God forbid" a participation trophy. Don't reward failure!

/end troll baiting post.
