wvu offense had NO turnovers.
WVU defense allowed NO touchdowns.

That's a double-barreled package I was happy to see.

It's a shame WVU had to burn Pettaway's redshirt, but the running backs corps looks like a M*A*S*H UNIT.

WVU can't finish any lower than 3rd in the Big 12, its best finish in 5 Big 12 seasons where the Mountaineers averaged 4-5 records over the previous 4 seasons. That's also an encouraging sign.

A victory over Baylor or in the bowl game will bring WVU's first double-digit victory season since the 10-3 start with Dana in the Big East. Another encouraging sign.

Since I NEVER predict the won-lost record before the season starts, I can't brag that I called it. But I can brag that my alma mater had an outstanding season. Two hiccups and 9 hoorays isn't chopped liver in anyone's book unless you're Alabama.
