He just stated that the Baylor situation is the "worst story he's ever heard".......so the rape of young children at Penn State........ring a bell Finebaum?????? He absolutely HATES the Big 12, and has said so publicly before. Needs to get his blinders off.......this is why ESPN is a sinking ship, hiring people like this.....

Didn't Vanderbilt have the same problem when Franklin was coach?

I don't know if it was the same, but there were football players that were accused (and I believe convicted) of rape. But I don't think the football coaches and program covered it up like what we are hearing in Baylor.

But, still, Finebaum should be careful when he says things like "this is the worst story ever in college football". I believe those children when they were raped and it was covered up in Happy Valley would beg to differ.....

Long ago I learned to cover my butt by saying, "One of the worst." That leaves rooms for anything I overlooked. Maybe Finebaum should try that. I have to say this for Finebaum: By comparison, he makes me look handsome. Wham!

Yeah .... Baylor situation seems to be more far ranging as far as the whole program is concerned. So it is worse in that respect.

Sandusky just turns everyone's stomach.

You evidently do not know much about what went on at Penn State and how it went on for a long time......the abuse and coverup......to KIDS.....

I agree about this d-bag being a d-bag. But ESPN is a sinking ship because the don't focus on highlights of SPORTS more than they focus on music, graphics, opinion, and ugly ties.

How about we quit trying to compare them? Doing so makes one not seem as bad as it should. They are both reprehensible.

Indeed .... they are both reprehensible. And I said nothing to downplay the PSU situation. I said it was sickening. And in some ways it is more sickening to think about an adult male being a sexual predator of children.

But the Baylor issue most definitely seems to be more "systemic" than the PSU situation. That is the point that Finebaum is making. He is not saying that Sandusky's actions weren't more sickening. I'm not sure how it is offensive to anyone to point that out.

Frankly .... if you actually listen to Finebaum's comments he makes it pretty clear that is what he is talking about .... the systemic nature of the problem at Baylor .... not the degree of reprehensibility. The problem at Baylor was/is more deeply rooted and more widespread than anything he has ever seen.

If you're going to knock him down ... then knock him down for what he actually said.

It's not so much you or Finebaum, but the fact that every time this conversation comes up it invariably goes to "well this one is worse than that." No. Comparing them will get you nowhere. Penn State's officials and coaches were complacent in covering up the acts to keep their program safe, and Baylor did much of the same. Outside of that, the stories are no longer parallels and should be talked about not in comparison to one another. Both are sickening that were allowed to happen and covered up for the sake of winning games.
