Unlike last year......with the vote on marijuana legalization......there's really nothing compelling on our ballots in Ohio. What about your State; has any specific issue/issues piqued your personal interest ??

Only one I had was about Sunday hunting. Had no idea you couldn't hunt, on your own land, on a Sunday. What a silly *** law.

Colorado had 2 of interest: state funded healthcare insurance and a death with dignity law for the terminally ill. The latter is similar to the law in Oregon that let Brittany Maynard, the woman with an inoperable brain tumor, commit suicide.

Cabell County, WV - purchasing alcohol in restaurants starting at 10:00 am.

Appalachia is so backwoods, neanderthal, behind the times.

Pennsylvania has (or had until recently) some pretty archaic blue laws with regard to the sale of alcohol.

I remember when you couldn't buy beer in Milton or Culloden period, or anywhere in WV on Sundays for that matter.

That liquor store in Hurricane and the carry-out beside it used to be packed with folks from eastern Cabell County from the time it opened in the morning until it shut down at night.

You remember all the Blue Laws?

Yep. Nothing was open on Sunday. If you were going to get something done on the weekend you better be sure you had everything you needed on Saturday. The only things that were open were churches and some gas stations. People would go nuts today having to deal with it. I kind of miss it.
