Too many mistakes and they left their focus on Morgantown.
I think our O line got the As kicked and Skylar fell apart under the pressure.
People trying to throw our OL under the bus for today and give congrats to OSU's. Here was the difference....
1. Our QB held on to the ball and constantly "retreated" when the pressure got to him. Hard to make throws doing that.
2. Rudolph looked at his 1st read quickly, then went to read #2, then if that person wasn't open he chucked it out of bounds.
So, it looks and appears that OSU's line "protected" their QB much better when in fact, they were about like us. Just their QB got rid of the ball and played for the next down. Ours tried to make throws or plays that he shouldn't have and resulted in 17 points off turnovers (all his TO's).
I see your point, and it is more like a bit of both; but we put no pressure on Rudolph until late 3Q while Skyler scrambled most of the day.
So either the OSU defense was exceptional today or our Oline under achieved.
I didn't see much wrong with coaching or game plan. We just didn't make plays. Howard was inaccurate, receivers couldn't get open, Oline looked soft.
I didn't like a couple of the deep ball calls but that's about it. That offensive pass interference call was bull crap and it seemed like it was all down hill after that.
Howard has been lucky all year with some bad throws. Today he wasn't and he hung onto the ball too long which resulted in that fumble they scored off of.
What about the other 5 games?Agreed. Last game he got bailed out on bad throws at least 3 times by either WR (that Durante catch was ridiculous) or the defense missing the pick

That was terrible clock management at the end of the 1st half but that has always been holgorson's way. The fade pass into the end zone on 3rd down was also a terrible call. We settled for a field goal and anyone with football sense knew we needed a TD at that juncture. He threw away the game not the 1st time its happened not the last.OSU had 1st and goal with 1:40 left in the first half with 3 WV timeouts left. Those 3 TO's never got used. Choosing not to have a possession there was just stupidity on the part of Holgs. Should have had a good opportunuty for at least a FG. Other than that though, OSU just made the plays they needed.
I blame the coach and the players- you win or lose as a team and to completely excuse the coaches is wrongBlaming this one on the coach is just damned stupid

Pretty sure Holgs did not fumble inside the 10 yd line AND pretty sure Holgs did not let that pass that should have been caught ricochet off his hands into the waiting hands of the OSU d-back. Those 2 TO's that lead directly to 14 points are not on the coach or the defense & can very easily be argued why we lost the game.

Pointing out deficiencies is one thing but putting blame on certain individuals for a team loss is shortsighted. His last two games were superb even giving credit to some fantastic catches by his receivers. Team execution was deficient in practically every aspect against osu. Having said this, the team has also recorded a 6-1 record this year with a chance to get to double digit wins. Not many expected this from this overachieving group.
totally agree ,I was screaming for the timeouts.i thought we had gotten past the time mismanagementOSU had 1st and goal with 1:40 left in the first half with 3 WV timeouts left. This wasn't on Dana at all. This game was decided by mediocre QB play from Skyler and two horrible turnovers (one on Skyler, one on White) giving them two touchdown drives under 10 yards. Simple as that.Too many mistakes and they left their focus on Morgantown.
