The Clintons money dump into Comey's bank account apparently came up short. They even attempted to scam the guy that let Hillary off in July.

Wow!!!!!

Here's a true story for you I was told this week.

A close family friend happened to meet, and do business with, one of the top officials within the FBI. Not Comey himself, but directly under him.

He was in the room with Comey when Lynch and Holder called Comey to tell him that there would be no indictment handed down on Hillary (this prior to Comey's press conference). It is so bad within the agency that this individual is retiring and is extremely unhappy about how the agency handled the email situation.

Ok, the government is working like it should. An agency investigating rather than Congress. We will see what comes out of it.

What I will be interested in the short term will be can Trump shut up and not say anything stupid that gets the media focused on his behavior versus letting this news on Clinton/FBI stay front and center on the news. If he is able to, he will make some hay in the polls.

Pretty much goes with what has been said in the past few weeks. Apparently several in the FBI were pissed at Comey and how the investigation made the FBI as a whole look bad.

Does anyone else find it strange that the FBI sends a letter to Congress announcing that they are re-opening the investigation? For all of you that are civics challenged, the FBI doesn't work for Congress.

Eleven days until the election and you announce you are re-opening an investigation?

When will the missing millions of e-mails from the Bush administration be investigated?

When will Karl Rove be investigated for improper use of the RNC e-mail?

When will Colin Powell be investigated for use of an illegal server?

I'm not against investigating Hillary, I'm against partisanship, favoritism and crooked justice.

Yes, it is. It seems as if the FBI is stepping out of line. I wonder why that would be?

I don't expect anything to come out of this except a big black eye for Hillary right before the election.

And the plot thickens...
The FBI would have to have some significant evidence to 're-open' (was it ever closed) to make this announcement...no way they're going to be willing to put their neck out again IMO.

I couldn't see the picture you attached (probably security on my end). I'm tending to agree with your last sentence. Is it just to appease those on the right that are pissed that the prior investigation ended in no indictment? So they can say, look, we investigated again based on additional evidence?

Is it to go after someone else connected to her? Someone they couldn't get before?

Nothing is going to happen........it's a done deal.......nothing but face saving. Comey has said that they don't know what the new e-mails show so I doubt the significant evidence to 're-open' theory.

I don't think they're going to make some grand pronouncement to re-open the investigation just to save face...that just doubles down on their own inadequacies.

New evidence found on Anthony's devices???

What in hell could FBI be looking for on Anthony Weiner's electronic devices?

That stinks after all the evidence before was insufficient.

Weiner is under investigation for sexting with a minor.

For all of you that have limited capacity to think, Congress has oversight duties over the Administrative branch. FBI is considered part of the administrative branch.

Do you now see the connection?

Well considering that one of the email outright stated the intent of the server was to circumvent FOIA, it basically blows a hole in the entire arguments used by Clinton and given by Comey as to why they weren't going to press an indictment "no intent". The intent is now there for all to see in an email, having those classified documents on an unsecure server shows they were willfully negligent in circumventing handling of classified material.

Moreover, I think it's pretty evident, she will win the election, Comey will be retiring, and she will not be indicted. I want to see if she is ballsy enough to appoint the lead investigator to head up the FBI.

Comey's not the only one who will be leaving.

I'm not 100% certain she's going to win.

Administrative branch huh? That's a new one. Speaking of limited capacity to think.

And no, Congress doesn't oversee the Executive branch. [laughing]

From wikipedia....

Congressional oversight is oversight by the United States Congress over the Executive Branch, including the numerous U.S. federal agencies. Congressional oversight includes the review, monitoring, and supervision of federal agencies, programs, activities, and policy implementation.[1] Congress exercises this power largely through its congressional committee system. However, oversight, which dates to the earliest days of the Republic, also occurs in a wide variety of congressional activities and contexts. These include authorization, appropriations, investigative, and legislative hearings by standing committees; specialized investigations by select committees; and reviews and studies by congressional support agencies and staff.

You would not remove all doubt if you would close your mouth, but there would only be doubt.

You contend you have a WVU degree, and it is obviously proven not to be in business. Education is above your capacity. PolSci is out. Arts you have no talent for.
Did you maybe go to a trade school? Still in HS and skipped your required civics class? I am beginning to lose faith in you, Cuntry boy.

Second Dave's motion.

Not like they report to them on every move they make, you all knew what I meant. The FBI, SS, CIA, Army doesn't report to Congress every time they wipe their ***. Hence, my original comment about the FBI reporting to Congress about investigating more emails.
