Test drove both. I find the Ram to be a more comfortable truck but the Ford looks better on the exterior. Other than that, which truck do you prefer?

If you are a man of some age, you might enjoy driving the ram better, reminds me of a "65" Caddy. I have a loaded Ram, hemi , eight speed . I really like it. If you are going to work hard and want resale, take the Ford.

In the truck business, Ford owners are about as willing to consider (let alone drive) anything else as neilmont, rog, and bornan are to voting for Hillary. I'm not a truck owner, and probably will never be.......but I myself think all three domestic manufacturers (not just Ford and FCA) make excellent product, and none would be a mistake for their new owners.

That having been said, allow me to say I've become personally intrigued with the new Titan; especially now that Nissan has slapped a 5/100 Bumper to Bumper warranty on its hood. Not sure you can find that kind of coverage on any other truck (or too many cars, for that matter) in the universe.

I keep reading that the Ram has surpassed the F150 in most categories from ride, interior and in some cases payload and towing capacity. For used trucks, the Rams are definitely cheaper for similar trucks which would contradict what I am reading.....

After spending a big portion of my career getting badass people to badass locations to do badass work, smart money goes with the Ford (150,250,350.) If you want to go to Sonic, get something sassy.:burger:

My 2014 f250 has 102,000 on it & I have only put brakes on , the company I work for uses the new f150 for everything including pulling skidsteers & mini excavator the mechanics said all he does is change the oil ....& most importantly dodge just sucks ....

I saw this thread and it hasn't disappointed. Some of my earliest memories are of my Grandpa and his brother going at it over Ford vs. Dodge trucks. I'm not going to say how long ago that was, but you used your feet to stop and accelerate in those days.

I learned to drive in a Ford F-100. The first time I got behind the wheel I flattened a stout wood frame tool shed built on cinder blocks belonging to my Uncle by marriage. I destroyed it. The truck had a very minor crease in the bumper.

If Grandpa and I hadn't been spotted by my Aunt, we would have kept on going and denied the whole thing. You can't beat a Ford truck.

I had a 98 Dodge 1500 4x4 and loved the thing. Used to haul, tow, and many dump runs. It was an extended cab with an 8 ft bed. I only used it for work and on snowy days and found it to be a great truck.

In alignment with my other post on their Reliability ratings pertaining to Tesla, CR also shows the following makes sharing the Bottom 5:

25 -- Tesla
26 -- Dodge
27 -- Chrysler
28 -- Fiat
29 -- Ram

FCA's top rated line was Jeep, at #23. I know FCA has never had an especially good Quality reputation from a pure historical ratings perspective; but I admit I hadn't realized they've been rated so poorly by their subscribers. Entirely your choice, but perhaps something to keep in mind......at least on the periphery.....if you're truck (or car, for that matter) shopping

One caveat; recognize that some of these ratings are driven by dealer performance (or lack of it). And I myself likely wouldn't pay that much attention to them if I had a favorable past track record with FCA makes.
