Bus Trip to BYU Game

the only bus trip I've ever taken to a WVU game was the 88 Penn St game...it was terrific..the bus had an open bar..the fella sitting beside me, who I didn't know, got way too happy way too early...when we got to the game we tried to help him off ..no deal..he stayed on the bus during the game and missed "the run".

Took a bus to the Kickoff Classic from Fairmont to NY via AC... ...a great time.

.....if you like a really long punt being the game highlight.

Was impressed by the number Nebraska fans though.

I took a bus to that game also. My first and only trip to NYC. We had an awesome time in spite of the game. As you said, there were a lot of Nebraska fans and I remember them being very friendly. The only belligerent person we saw was decked out in Florida Gators garb. I'm not sure what he was doing there. I also remember it being very hot that day. I agree that Todd Sauerbraun's 90 yd. punt was the highlight of the game.

I firmly believe that Kickoff Classic v. Nebraska is the only time a player clinched All-America status in the first game of a season.

No. The word I get is that the kickoff time will probably not be announced until Sept. 12. Enjoy the game from the "Great White North!" This will be one the boys need to win!

Lord, we took one to the Bluebonnet Bowl in Houston. Longest trip in my life

I remember that Kickoff Classic well, "The Punt" and Cornhuskers Tommie Frazier both equally memorable.

That Nebraska team was one of the best teams I have ever seen in person. Tommy Frasier was an animal and Lawrence Phillips (and Ahman Green) was one of the better college backs as well. Not too even mention the Peters brothers and Grant Winstrom on defense. Granted the 95 team was better, but dang that was some talent.

The 85 scholarship rule really hurt programs like Nebraska and Penn State.
