Kind of like when his detractors think he should walk-back something he said and then pounce on him for walking it back.

The fact that he continually has to back track on preposterous statements says a lot about his credibility.

I guess he could be like Hillary and continue the lie right to everyone's face...could be she suffers from PTSD when she faced sniper fire that one time.

Sure she isn't...but the media is hard pressed to show it.
Ha! Yes, the media has protected Hillary from covering benghazi, emails, servers, travelgate, vince fostergate, web hubbell gate, whitewater....not a word. You people in your own little fantasy world.

You are no dummy......you know exactly how the media treats her compared to any Republican. She is probably going to win and you can be happy for the next four years and maybe eight.

Which one has the honesty/trustworthy issues? You're living in the fantasy world if you don't think there is media bias in favor of Hillary.

In his same double-down interview he says Obama set the conditions for ISIS.
In the interview I saw the reporter gave him three chances to say he really meant Obama's policies, and every time, just like Peter denying Jesus, he said "Obama is the founder."

Evidently, according to the rubes on the right, we would all view the Donald as a composed, thoughtful, nuanced and intelligent statesman if not for the media. Oh to be as aware and enlightened as the 72% in the GOP who still think our president is a Muslim.

This thread is taking a funny turn. Seems that Trump's taurettes problem has something to do with media bias. Now there's a real stretch.

This is from the Hewitt interview on which the "double down" articles were base and referenced...

"I don’t care. He was the founder. His, the way he got out of Iraq was that that was the founding of ISIS, okay?"

He's like a message board troll. I think he knows what he's doing and how it sounds....pretty low brow stuff.

Which itself is also false though, since ISIS (or what we currently refer to as ISIS) was founded in 2004.

If he weren't such a thin-skinned maroon, he could have made hay with this line of discussion, since many people agree that Obama underestimated the threat and contributed to the spread of ISIS. And it's a valid criticism. But Trump can't do nuance--it's gotta all be simple black and white 3rd grade level verbiage for his dullard followers who don't even read or watch actual news. And then has to retract his statements anyway, sometimes days later, when he gets beaten down by the problem that facts are verifiable.

We had a long discussion about this in another thread already. The caliphate wasn't established until there was a withdrawal of troops. No one disputes AQ in Iraq splintered of AQ and that group formed the foundation for ISIS. But ISIS is not merely a terror group headed by a caliph. It is an actually caliphate with a standing military and a government. ISIS did not exist before the troop withdrawal.

I'm a rube on the right and I don't think Trump is composed, thoughtful, etc. You have, apparently, been brainwashed by the left. I do think, however, that the Clintons are a crooked, greedy bunch who I do not want in the White House.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/11/politics/donald-trump-hugh-hewitt-obama-founder-isis/

"
Trump was asked by host Hugh Hewitt about the comments Trump made Wednesday night in Florida, and Hewitt said he understood Trump to mean "that he (Obama) created the vacuum, he lost the peace."
Trump objected.
"No, I meant he's the founder of ISIS," Trump said. "I do. He was the most valuable player. I give him the most valuable player award. I give her, too, by the way, Hillary Clinton."
"

"
But the GOP nominee remained steadfast, saying it was "no mistake" what he said, standing by his labeling of the Democratic opponent as a "co-founder."
"Do you not like that?" Trump asked Hewitt.
"I think I would say they created, they lost the peace. They created the Libyan vacuum, they created the vacuum into which ISIS came, but they didn't create ISIS. That's what I would say," Hewitt said.
"Well, I disagree," Trump replied, and Hewitt moved on.

Heh - and here I thought we didn't withdraw until 2009? Of course the other "S" for Syria wasn't added until 2011, so I rate you as half-correct.

What's you point? That article in no way counters what I said.
