This can't be true. This don't happen. You know that. It's the liberal media trying to influence politics....;)

When racists stop targeting police hopefully police can better do their jobs.

So it's the "racists" fault that this particular policeman screwed up and shot an unarmed man?

No it's the cops fault unless it's proven otherwise. My guess is he will be given a pink slip. I expect more cop shootings and less cop patrolling in the inner cities or high crime areas.

Well could it be possible that police officers today are operating under a higher level of stress and fear due to recent shootings, and therefore that stress could have a negative impact on their ability to properly do their job?

That may be true, but it doesn't excuse what this particular policeman did.

Honestly, I haven't seen anyone try to excuse it, on this board anyway. I was probably the closest to doing so when I posted what I thought could have been a logical scenario playing out with having zero knowledge of the incident. Once I looked into it, I agreed, it doesn't look good.

Did they figure out a way to make this a racial issue yet? I know the cop was Hispanic, was he like 1/10th white Hispanic? Cuz that will get some traction!!!!!

Well it has been racists shooting up cops in Dallas, Baton Rouge and other places that has cops on edge and more likely to make mistakes so you do the math.

Of course it doesnt excuse it but it could help explain it. Police work can be a pretty tough job if you were not aware.

I'm well aware It's a tough job and I think that the vast majority of cops are good decent people. However, there are some who are not.

Cops don't make news on their good days. They go viral if they have a bad one.

Hey Canada, get your own house in order before you criticize us Neanderthals down south. Pop on a Tragically Hip album, drink you some Lebatts eh, and reflect on the crack smoking mayor that likes to pretend he's a Rasta Mon!!

Speaking of the Hip...not sure if you heard or not but lead singer has terminal brain cancer and the band just kicked off their final tour last night in BC...goes till mid august. I think people are confused somewhat as to treat these concerts as a celebration or a funeral...sad story for certain...
