Thanks for responding, Moe. I suspected, but not the answer I wanted to hear. He just dropped off too abruptly. I got no response to a similar request a couple years ago, so I still had hope.

He was contemplating retirement. Looking to Morgantown for WVU athletics, and he was also interested in the South for climate and golf.

I've been wondering the same thing. I first encountered him on a board unrelated to sports, but I haven't checked in there in years. I'll go over there and see if the owner knows anything for sure, but with it being the 4th of July weekend it may be a few days before I hear back.

He was a hoot. We used to scare the Hell out of the flatlanders on the above mentioned site with tales of overloaded coal trucks and the roads in southern WV.
