They just told Obama that he can take all his threats and lectures (over leaving the EU) and go pound sand. I guess no one really cares what he has to say.

I'm sure they were thinking about BO too when they headed to the polls yesterday. They sure showed him..
Exactly. I sure hope Americans will learn from this horrendous decision what can happen when citizens make a "protest" vote. Citizens need to understand repercussions of actions and vote accordingly.

Isn't it amazing only one world "leader" which is the US GOP nominee is the only one supporting this measure? And all the American sheep are applauding it as well. All I can do is shake my head.

why would Americans negatively judge the British decision to leave the EU? Economics maybe?

What politically or ideologically would it be in it for them to react the way there are, even here on this board?

I know you have me on ignore and you may not see this but maybe you can look at my reply for once.

I know many on here think I am a complete dumbass. That is fine. In reality, I make a very nice living knowing Finance and Economics. I currently work with my clients that are bank's and credit uinons CFO's and Finance depts with Financial Reporting and Budgeting. I work very closely with the Risk departments of these organizations as depending on economic conditions and the level of Risk the organization wants to take with a million different things, financial forecasts are adjusted.

Our phones and emails are blowing up due to the UK vote. You fill in the reason why.

What makes you think they made an uninformed decision? What's the down side to all of.this? Tell me how people are going to stop doing bidness with the Brits.

I'd tend to think (economically) this is a good thing for the US. Instead of dealing with Brussels, we're now dealing with our friends in London. Besides, the Brits have now freed themselves from Greece, Spain, and Portugal; I wonder how long before the Germans figure it out and leave the EU as well

There's a lot of people in govt who make a great living telling everybody else what they should do, when, in reality, they've never ran a business or paid matching Federal taxes or met a payroll. They are still dumbasses when it comes to what business will do when they are faced with decisions that impact their bottom line. They are amazed when business choose to lay off people rather than pay more for labor cost or high anymore employees.

The other side to look at that is the Brits won't be able to push stuff we want through the EU now. Double edged sword

Exactly. They now have to try to independently negotiate a series of trade agreements with an entity that 51 percent of their citizens just voted to have nothing to do with.

That is true.

In a very long term, the UK could come out fine. But it will be very tough on every citizen of the UK now, the various coutries n the EU now and the world trading partners.

I expect other countries will also now attempt to leave the EU and that will upset the world economy even more. This isn't good for the US and other trade partners with all the Europe countries. May help with immigration issues but for the economy, it is very bad in the short and medium length term.

I hope you didn't share your opinion with your clients. As a financial advisor to some clients that you suggest are fairly heavy, I would think they would get into this "day after" in a fairly substantial way. Potentially your clients lost millions today business wise and personally. I have found that people get rather pissed when they get burned on transactions that cost them money.

Personally I got my *** kicked because I was out of town for a funeral. I would have removed most of my holdings that could be impacted by a down market. I certainly anticipated a blow today if Brits removed themselves from EU. If they remained, I wouldn't anticipate a large bump. In my estimation, the down side would be more impactful than the upside, So down side was the best bet.

I do respect your moxie for sharing your position even after costing your clients large losses. I probably would have kept the decision to myself. Particularly since it was all after the fact.
