911 transcripts from last week's shooting? It kind of seems like they're doctoring the truth.

It's just fuc#ing stupid.

Why bother editing it? The excuse given was pretty pathetic.

He's clearly in on it and def a Muslim. I bet he leaves wildfire all over the White House and Capitol. RIP USA
Naw, Obama is protecting our virgin ears. He doesn't want us to be concerned with what radicals have to say. They are just trying to scare us. President, AG and Secretary of State have us fully protected. There is no reason for anyone to be concerned as long as the Admin has our backs.

If only the Pulse would have allowed concealed carry weapons this wouldn't have happened.......(a rant I heard from a NRA card-carrying member the other day; not my words)

I mean people drinking and having guns would be a great idea....:(

Havent been following this. What was the excuse?

The original excuse had something to do with giving this guy and the Radical Islamist movement legitimacy. "What we're not going to do is further proclaim this man's pledges of allegiance to terrorist groups, and further his propaganda," Lynch said. "We are not going to hear him make his assertions of allegiance [to the Islamic State]."

IMHO, they want to draw as much away from Islam and focus more on guns. The President's response to this tragedy was sickening. He was more upset with Donald Trump and Guns, than he was the shooter and radical Islam. And the left wonders why so many on the right have zero respect and faith in his ability.

and now you're trying to change the narrative......tsk.

But back on point - why change the public record?

The Justice Department on Monday afternoon reversed itself and released a full, unredacted transcript of the Orlando terrorist's 911 call on the night of the massacre, calling the morning’s furor over omissions in the document “an unnecessary distraction.”

An earlier version of the transcript had deleted the word “Islamic State” and the name of ISIS leader “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.” Omar Mateen made the 50-second 911 call in which he claimed responsibility for the terror attack and pledged allegiance to Islamic State's leader at 2:35 a.m. The call came just over a half hour into the June 12 slaughter at gay nightclub Pulse.

“I pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi may God protect him [in Arabic], on behalf of the Islamic State,” Mateen says on the new transcript.

The old version had several words scrubbed and read: "I pledge allegiance to [omitted] may God protect him [in Arabic], on behalf of [omitted]."

Not all states ban you from carrying in bars and clubs. I've carried a number of times in "bars", and I know YOU DON'T DRINK.

In Florida however the law states you can't carry in an establishment who's primary purpose is the serving of alcohol. So you can carry in an Applebee's, where they serve food, but not a club or bar where they mostly serve alcohol.

Another stupid red herring argument.

And how did this serve the greater good?
I don't understand it. It's not Top Secret, it's a matter of public record. Someone may have realized they were going to be sued, so they un-redacted. It's hard to believe they thought before hand that they were so above the law that tampering with Public records would not be challenged.

Even the NRA is in agreement that allowing weapons where alcohol is consumed may not be the wisest thing. Go figure.

I don't care what the NRA says. Rarely do. Fact. WV and VA allows carrying in establishments where alcohol is the primary business. Fact. Mass shootings at bars in VA and WV are not a problem. Me drinking a soda in a bar with a .40 on my hip only makes patrons more safe.

Would you be for a law making it illegal for a person to be armed in public if over a certain BAC?

That is the biggest line of BS you have made. And you have made some whoppers.

You are one of the most NRA positioned person on this board. Who the hell are you kidding?

Do you want to restate the comment to something more like "I will repeat and pledge to the NRA position when I agree but if they go a little bit reasonable, I will remain to the far right on gun rights."?

I would. No different that a person driving a car, another loaded weapon, under the influence, which is against the law. There is an equivalent between the two.

Started drinking a little early old man? This one confuses me. So you're saying he's lying that he doesn't care what the NRA's position is, just because his position is supposed farther right than the NRA's?

Not drinking yet but after reading your post, I should.

I did use bad grammar though.

I don't expect you understand the point even if I used the proper grammar. That is who you are.

I would agree with that one.

As long as certain modes of transportation are considered extensions of the home, and therefore not public possession, I would agree. I could see a passenger being charge by some overzealous prosecutors.

For a guy who loves to brag about being above the fray nobody makes more personal attacks than you do. Tell everyone how it feels to be the biggest hypocrite on earth? Ps. God hates hypocrites. #enjoyhell

I am one of the most 2nd Amendment positioned people on this board. Not NRA positioned. Two separate things.

More than you would imagine I disagree with positions that the NRA takes on many subjects, and have repeatedly stated that they lost their way long ago when it came to message.

It's understandable you would attempted to equate my strong support of the 2nd Amendment (of all of the Bill of Rights) with a strong support of the NRA, but that's not the case at all.

As you know, we have been reading each other's opinions for a long time. This is the first time I have ever witnessed you take a position opposite of the NRA. I will give you credit for addressing my comment on "NRA positioned" versus "2nd Amendment" however I find that as nothing but spin. The NRA stated positioned is to fully protect the 2nd. It is the same thing and you just attempted to differentiate something that isn't real. But thanks for responding unlike the two **** pilers that responded earlier. They rarely add anything of value to an adult conversation.

I'm sure by now that you've collected every transcript from the killer's last hours and have spent many pleasurable hours reading them over and over. I hope that you feel better now and will quit your whining about not having access to his final words.

You really are a hypocritical old curmudgeon. You lecture people left and right about decorum and value added. You have to be one of the most disrespectful and inflammatory posters with individuals you disagree with. It's like you don't know how to disagree without insulting someone or trying to position them into a position of moral inferiority. You bring the least to most discussions and when someone challenges you with a point that you can't argue, you spin away and talk about what low character individuals they are when really, you have no position to defend yourself on. I was fooled by you for a little while, I just thought you were an abrasive individual that was a little quirky and didn't know how to properly convey points in an intelligent manner. I now can see that you just aren't very smart and are obviously old and set in your ways and am not open minded to dissenting opinions.

Man I hope I don't act like that when I get to be your age.

I just love when complete ******** attempt to lecture someone by doing the thing they are lecturing and dare to call the person a hypocrite. Irony. And for the record, I don't lecture others. I mock others behavior. I couldn't care less how you or others act. One time you wanted the board to be more civil and i agreed. You failed within 24 hours on your commitment. Why should I when you and other low class scum attack me? Why would anyone?

If you ever notice, I usually don't attack others out of the blue like you, dave and the did to me. My conversation is with another and it is civil. You scum decide to take cheap shots and just pile on the **** pile. And I'm the problem? What warped little minds you low lives have.
