The worst possible scenario is becoming a reality.
I think the Dems will pull together to support Hillary, can't say the same about Republicans and the Donald assuming that the nomination doesn't get hijacked from him at their convention. I'm not sure that will even be possible once the primaries are completed. It should be interesting.

I think we all knew this was inevitable. Hard part was we all had serious denial. And with a whopping 150 delegates, I'm dealing with the reality that my boy Kasich is finished. Truth is he never really started.

In the end, you can't blame Trump for the GOP disaster, he's predictably doing exactly what he's been doing his whole life. But you can put 99.9% of the blame on the idiots who were conned by him and support him. Further proof that stupid people are all around us.

The rank and file Republicans will support Trump in the general. How do you think Trump won what he has? It was in spite of the clusterfuk GOP leadership who have been undermining him from day one. Hillary will never get the Dem turnout that Obama was able to produce.

Yea, I've already had this conversation with my coworkers and I believe there will be absolutely no dem chaos once Hillary wins the nomination. Both of these coworkers are staunch GOP supporters and they're convinced that mayhem is on its way to the dem race. I think it's that conspiracy gene that kicks in with that crowd.

What is the conspiracy? I'm a Republican and have no clue of what conspiracy you are talking about. I have said from day one that Hillary will be the nominee. She has been the choice of the Dem leadership for many years........she was just derailed 8 years ago. The Repubs will support Trump and the Dems will support Clinton. The "trump card" will end up being the Dem turnout and the Independent vote.

Two things. First that Sanders will run as an independent and second that the Trump frenzy will sweep into the dem world once his campaign goes beyond the GOP race.

Add in that she could be recommended for indictment by the FBI, that scenario comes straight out of DC.

Sanders will not run as an Independent. I don't know what the Trump frenzy is........are you comparing it to the Bernie Sanders frenzy? The fact that Trump is winning is no surprise if you look at whom he was running against. The only head-scratcher are the very poor results for Kasich.

Do you think all those young people who are caught up in the "Bernie Frenzy" will actually turn out in the general for Hillary? I don't think so.

Trump vs Hillary and then on January 23, 2017, for the first time in history, we will all be saying Madam President, like it or not. (Don't take this as an endorsement of Hillary, I don't like her, it's a prediction, something some posters on this board struggle with distinguishing the difference).

Yes, we proved the depth of stupidity with the last two General elections.. Trump carried every county in the elections yesterday. Not sure that has ever been duplicated by anyone when multiple states were involved. You can make all the innuendo/statements you like, but that is strong performance. Do wonder what he could do if he didn't have "negatives" at 70%. Obviously the poll excluded the Northeast.

This is where he slowly morphs into a liberal. I'll bet he'll say how he loves gay muslims at some point.

" Slowly morphs into a liberal" ? Where have you been? I think the more accurate comment is....... "morphs into a conservative".

I'll bet Trump sails into the convention with 1237+ and any dreams of contesting his nomination will be lost.

It's scenarios like this (Trump vs Hillary) where I hope a strong Independent party emerges sooner than later.

Well, that grumbling, digestive noise coming from the GOP race may eventually result in the birth of such a thing. But it seems to be still grumbling, incubating, or cooking or something.

For those old enough, the 68 democratic convention was far worse

Worse than a convention that hasn't happened yet? Seeing as we don't have a big war protest going on, I doubt that we see the unrest outside the convention but a large political mess could take place inside except this time it will be at the Republican event.

For sure. But what's going on now in the GOP has been brewing for a long time, the noises are only getting louder, and the Trump effect where the vast majority of GOP voters are now flipping the bird to the GOP establishment certainly illustrates that ground zero of this is squarely in the middle of the GOP.

I don't think you will se the repubs rioting. People wearing kahkis rarely riot and turn over cars and set things on fire.

It's cute how you paint the picture that all repubs wear khakis. The repubs also include people like this guy (in the link) and the idiots that occupied Malheur.

Just wait and see what happens if Drumph is not the nominee but has the most delegates (by far) entering the convention.

No call for that even if the other guy was giving the finger to everybody. Of course, If a white guy goes to a bLM meeting and gives them the finger, he may get punched too. Too much vitriol on both sides.
