I saw that report too but i really don't know much about them. I certainly won't be shelling out that kind of money for clubs. I've been using the same set of Titleist AP2 irons that i got when they first came out. Probably getting close to 6-7 years old. And a Ping rep is a patient and I've had every new Ping G driver every year since they came out. I do get new wedges every couple of years-tend to wear out the face right in the sweet spot. I'm a tightwad when it comes to clubs.

I still play my Mizunos from 2006 and my driver is a couple of years old and I thin I am ready to replace it with maybe a Ping this Spring.

I left my club in November and will look to join Stonehenge maybe in March.

I wish it didn't look like I copy you on clubs but as you know, i have the same. Got gift cards and will be purchasing a g30 3wood. Been without a 3 for two years since i trashed my previous one mid round.

I took my 3 wood out of my bag for my Streamsong trip. I have the G30 3 wood. The lies are so tight at some of these places that I rarely hit 3 wood. And i hit my 17 degree Ping Anser hybrid almost as far anyway.

I have a Callaway Steelhead 5wood I absolutely love. Wish i had the 3 wood but this is circa 2000 I would guess. If I muscle it up, I might get 230 out of it but I typically will not max swing anything so my yardage is normally 215. So I have a huge gap between driver (I am still hitting the g25) and the rest of the bag.

My purchase last year was a 52 gap wedge. I was doubtful I would learn it. Boy, was I wrong. It has improved my play and scoring opportunities unlike any other purchase in 40 years of playing.

I got a callaway 5 wood this summer and I hit it farther than I ever did the 3 or 4 wood....don't even carry the 3 anymore

No that's Stonehouse. I love that course but it usually put a hurt on me when I played it. Stonehenge is in Midlothian, VA. RNK and Stonehouse are sister courses.

Well, they dumped a bunch of money into that course but it's still the same old tired course it was before. I really don't love the layout and the greens fees are high for what you get. Alegedly they are building an indoor practice facility at the bottom of the range where the lower range tees are located. I also don't care for the attitude of the staff. Last summer they gave me crap for coming to the course in jeans to go see my son at the Jr. Club house while he was there for a week long overnight camp. Don't get me started on the Jr. Golf Pro. She has ruined that program to the point where my son has no desire to go play there ever again.

My friend Andrew Hodson of Hodson Golf moved his whole club making operation there and likes it ok because of all the traffic but I don't think he cares much for the place.

Sorry touchy subject, but I digress.
