Yup. In the 2 seasons before Bowden took over at Akron, they were 2-22. They go 1-11 his 1st year, 5-7 in 2nd and 3rd, and this year 8 wins. The guy can coach.

Anyone who can do this at a place like Akron is a hell of a coach. Akron for gods sake. It does make you wonder what he could do with a great program and elite talent. I know the MAC is not a great conference but Akron was the worst program in THE MAC. That's almost impossible to understand. Great job Coach Bowden!

Terry likely was the Larry Coker of Auburn. Went 11-0 his first year. Got nailed for recruiting violations and couldn't play for the NC. Then gradually over the next 4 years we saw Terry's teams get worse and worse until he was forced to resign after winning only 3-4 games.
