GCU was a member of the NAIA until the early 1990s when it transferred to NCAA Division II, in which it competed until 2013. On November 27, 2012, Grand Canyon University announced that it had accepted an invitation to join Division I's Western Athletic Conference, effective July 1, 2013.

What can I say, we suck in basketball and Dandy Dan is not the answer. I don't think we will ever have an answer for our basketball program

Its true, and you should see what is being said on Old Fairfield. The fact people STILL hold up hope and act like this bunch isn't a below average bunch of castaways, foriegners, and a D2 transfer makes this season hilarious to me

Kind of like those outrageous claims by some that Kent State had a top 5 defense, we had a no fly zone defense and we are the Notre Dame of the G5's.

I could care less what anyone on here makes. Those tools are the only ones I have seen stroking each other's e-peens over salary. This is a football message board, not an e-peen message board.

Yeah I know, I've read the bs on this subject on other boards with some select few. That's always been my response when engaged.

Actually, in fairness to banker, it was the others stroking his e-peen, and not him personally, if I remember correctly...

Like I said on Herdnation.

At the time of the Kent State game, they had a Top 5 defense.

We are one of the best schools in the Nation and Pass Defense effiency

Prove to me where I said Marshall is the Notre Dame of the G5s??

I never said you called us the G5 ND, that's just another outrageous claim made by another Superfan.

The mere fact that KSU gave up 52 to Illinois, was averaging giving up 25 Ppg and was 1-2 with their only win against Del State I have no idea how you claimed then or now they had a top 5 defense. The words top 5 and Kent State go together like ISIS and hip hop.

Statistically, they probably were a top 5 ... but being top 5 statistically early in the season and actually being the 5th best defense are two ENTIRELY different things.

Those kinds of things seem lost on Fever.

Even now, saying you are one of the best in the nation in pass efficiency means nothing when the majority of the schedule is teams ranked 100+, even 75+. You are FAR from one of the best defenses against the pass, and that would be exposed if you played better competition ... like it was against WKU.

Kind of my point. They're supposed top 5 defense gave up 300 yards rushing to Ohio.
