I guess they did hold us to less points then Clemson did in the BCS bowl game. That's a positive they can celebrate
I still wish that Dana wouldn't have called off the dogs, shortly after halftime. Scoring 100+ would have been a fitting end to the Friends of Welfare bowl...
It would be bad enough if Marshall was beating the asses off of its IAA-quality opponents, but it is barely squeaking by them and losing to them...
30-13 over 0-6 North Texas, at home on homecoming, they must be so proud. WKU is gonna give them an *** reaming and show them just how bad they suck. You would have thought they would have figured it out with the loss to Ohio U.

Just because Doc decided not to embarrass North Texas doesn't mean we are squeaking by. We had all the points we needed in the first quarter, and with a defense only giving up 17 points a game, the outcome was never in doubt. We did get the opportunity to mess with some different stuff on offense in a live game situation, ran some pistol formation, which we hadn't done before. So all in all, it was a good practice. Kind of like Baylor plays with you guys.
And the following year when we clobbered your *** 69-34? What is the excuse for that game? It's a shame you never played us when you were at your peak with Moss and Pennington. [laughing]

You guys being UMD doesn't bother us at all. You just like to point to it as a proxy win ... since they beat us and you beat them, by your logic you finally beat us.
And you say we are the ones claiming moral victories.
That was the same year they refused to play us too "because we already have VT on the schedule" ... can't play more than one of the big boys in a season.
