Any US President would've gone into Afghanistan after the Taliban gave shelter to al Qaeda. What's so hard to understand about that? And we know that Obama would be willing to go into Pakistan to kill bin laden. He just didn't need to send in 5 divisions to do it.

History isn't your friend - remember, after the attacks, the Osama compound was in the borderland - not some house.... So to have gotten him, Obama would have had to have send a few divisions into the hills and into Pakistan. Would he have waged war on a second Pakistan front?

Ahhhh, the beauty of re-writing history with sunshine and lollipops. I am sure Al Gore would have made it all better. My guess is he would have given Al Queda the internet in return for peace.
