I really don't think it will be Clinton for the Dems and it's anyone's guess for the GOP.

Clinton for sure. Doesn't really matter who the GOP nominates. They lose. There are only 4 reasonable GOP candidates electable in the general-Bush, Paul, Kasich and Pataki. I could live with any of those 4 and I'd expect most reasonable people could too. But they'd get waxed by Hil. The rest of the GOP candidates are wingnuts or pander to the kook fringe who the GOP base might love, but the general population will never go for. I'd expect the GOP to nominate someone much more conservative this time-Huckabee, Rubio, or Cruz. I sure hope that happens. I predict Huckabee. He's the kookiest of the kooks.

I think Rand Paul's biggest dilemma is his apocalyptic dad. Don't see Junior going far at this point

I honestly don't think Hillary will even sniff the nomination. She is too moderate for the new Democratic party.
Democrats are a pretty malleable group and they loved her husband's politics. By nomination time, she'll be the clear leader. Won't even be close.

Todays latest poll had Jeb and the Donald as the only two GOPers polling in double digits atop the GOP field among Republicans and Republican leaning independents I just read. Surely no one with half a brain could ever imagine Trump winning the general election.

Hillary is only moderate compared to Bernie Sanders. If she doesn't waltz into the nomination I'll be greatly surprised.

I figure we'll see more Dem candidates but they need to come out into the light and be seen. Right now there is no one to really challenge HC on the Dem side.

If Hillary wins, or if Jeb wins, it proves that our system is just broken beyond repair.

Who do you think it will be then? Because the only other ones running are O'Malley and Sanders. I don't know much about O'Malley (and neither does anyone else, which is a disadvantage for him) but Sanders' chances are zero.
Unless something big changes with the Dems I can't imagine it not being Hilary.

Hillary is a slam dunk unless something major is brought to light. Even in that case the odds would still favor her. After all, 85% of the media identify themselves as Democrats and most of the media faces we see have Democrat ties. Many are former employee's of the Clintons and Obama or have been Democrat operatives.

Just out of curiosity, could you name anyone outside of George S. that were employees of the Clintons or Obama?

I think the wild card for the Dems is Joe Biden. He has the ability to challenge Hillary, especially with a lot of the negative press surrounding her (Clinton Cash, GmailGate, etc). He has a lot of clout with labor, his bio is much more similar to the every man than Hillary's. He can play that angle. The challenge for him is to play an angle without sticking his foot in his mouth or giving someone an awkward shoulder rub.

Dems have an extaordinarily weak field. Outside of the aging, serial liar and law breaker Clinton, Sanders is an antique socialist, Biden would perhaps be the dumbest Presidential candiate in our nation's history, O'Malley of Baltimore fame and the dork from Rhode Island, Chafee.

The Republican field is much, much stronger and my guess is that it will come down to Bush (ugh), Rubio, Kasich, and Walker. Paul is too much of an isolationist.

In the general, Clinton will have the money and the media. Republicans will have youth and Obama on their side.

There are several more media types and Democrat operatives who have been employed by the Clintons and President Obama. I suggest your satisfy your curiosity by doing some research, I don't have the time to do it for you. Joe Biden has zero chance of beating Hillary. I will admit that a debate between the two would be quite a show. One making moronic comments, as you somewhat alluded to, and the other making "none answer" comments to the softball questions thrown her way by the adoring debate host.

You made the claim, you should be able to back it up. George S immediately comes to mind, but I can't think of another.

I'm not sure Biden could beat Hillary, but he's a name with more experience in the executive and legislative branches of the government than her. I think he could at least make it interesting. Sanders is likely going to be another Howard Dean - early ground swell, vocal and active support group, but not enough weight in the primaries. I'm not sure O'Malley even realizes he's running right now, most of the country doesn't. Biden's the obvious hope for real competition until someone else steps up.

Ever heard of Paul Begala? How about Jim Kennedy? I bet you have no clue who Alyssa Mastromonaco is. Also check out who is David Rhodes brother as well as who Ben Sherwoods sister is and where they work. Surely you must also know who supposed non partisan Chuck Todd and his wife worked for. I will admit it was not for Clinton or Obama.

Begala is a commentator who openly discloses a political bias - he's on shows like Crossfire and was on a show with Oliver North. We're not talking about a Walter Cronkite type of reporter or anchor. If you claim him, I can claim Rove, Palin, North, and that's off the top of my head.

Jim Kennedy I'll give you, but I honestly had to look him up.

Alyssa Mastromonaco is the COO of Vice Media - had to look that up as well. The only product of theirs that I am familiar with is the HBO mini documentaries. They're media, but I'm not sure I classify that as "news".

David Rhodes, the guy who was at Fox News for over a decade ending around 2008? You're claiming him because of a brother who is a WH staffer? I'll say the same for Sherwood. His sister works in the WH, but you have to show that a sibling's politics in this situation gives the person a bias. Heck, the Baldwin brothers prove that siblings don't always have similar political leanings.

I'll also point out that Tim Russert, one of the most fair debate moderators I've seen, had some history in politics, working for a democratic senator and a democratic governor. Political work do not necessarily imply biased reporting or actions in media.

There is that space alien dude from louisiana. He like begala is pretty open about his bias.

David Rhodes is the president of CBS News, Ben Sherwood is the president of Disney-ABC Television Group and previously was president of ABC News. I will agree that FOX has a strong Republican bias. ALL the other cable and over the air networks have a Democrat bias. Some like NBC,CNN,MSNBC have a strong Democrat bias. I usually watch CNN because I think they do the best job on news stories. Wolf Blitzer is my favorite, I think he is the best in the business and Anderson Cooper is very good. . I will start to tune them out when Don Lemon or that other nut Chris Cuomo show up. I sometime watch Fox. I do like Greta,Kelly and Greg Gutfeld. I have no interest in Hannity or O'Reilly, one is to smug and the other is to shrill. MSNBC is just over the top bad.

GOP past candidates like Romney and McCain are wondering to themselves why the HELL couldn't it have been this easy back in 2008 and 2012 when they ran for president. If they were in the run for the GOP nomination, they probably win the White House. Shoot, moderate Dems like myself may even had voted for them in the upcoming 2016 election.

That's a fair analysis. Honestly, I haven't watched a major network news program in a long time. I tend to watch cnn the most of the cable news shows. Cooper seems to be very fair to me. I feel like Blitzer does a little bit of a show, but I think he's good overall. I listen to Smerconish on my drive to work most days, and he has a Saturday show on cnn too. I've caught it once or twice, but I do like how he appoaches interviews. I don't have any issues with Greta or Megan on fox. I always feel a little dirty watching O'Reilly or Hannity, and I can't tell you the last time I watched msnbc. I hear good things about morning joe, but I don't generally watch news in the morning.
