Does anyone else have to "update" their email settings everyday

Nope, I turned all of that **** off on day one.

I never turned anything off and yet I never get e-mails. I think a small thing does come up on my screen (when I'm looking at this page) if someone replies to something I posted, but I've never gotten and e-mail. That would annoy me greatly.
