Just watched the replay. Didn't realize it was Adkins who knocked the ball out. Brought his left hand around to wrap up the tackle and it knocked the ball loose. Basically a game-sealing play. Big day for that guy.

He's had greater impact than the Stogner boy, who was ballyhooed. To be fair to him, his impact was blunted by injury and the hot mess our offense was most of the year when the ground was our leading receiver.
Stogner recruited Rattler, so he had the bigger impact. But I know what you mean.
The final chapters of both their sagas - good, bad, or indifferent - are yet to be written.

That is a very, very true statement. They could have been in field goal position with just one or two lucky plays.
Well on the way to FG territory before the fumble. With that play and the punts downed inside the five, the ball literally bounced the Gamecocks way for a change

Yep, and don’t feel bad about it one bit. How many times over the years have we seen the bounces go the other way. Too many to count.
