PSU has a LOT of talent. Unfortunately, not enough of it is on either side of the LOS. I think that may change with the OL next year. Still not sure about the DT position, especially with the loss of Mustipher.

Some folks can complain all they want about CJF. The fan base that should be pissed is MSU. Tucker suckered them in using the portal to get some success and that large contract. If he can actually develop talent and build that program I will be surprised.
His contract is unchanged. The extra money came from 2 big MSU boosters. He’s still playing his original contract.

the injuries along the OL during the season really hurt PSU, as it limited a lot of what they wanted to do on O.

the DL is a little deeper, but losing PJ will hurt.

PSU's coaches know what they have on the team, and what they have coming in. They will be active in the portal if they think they're thin at a position. Unfortunately, few teams have OL or DL depth, so they'll have a great deal of competition for anyone they target.

I feel blessed. Sans one meaningless bowl game, Sean Clifford will soon be gone. Perhaps Franklin and Yurchich can portal.

DT is that position that could turn PSU into a great defense. As you say, the competition is stiff to get one.

Hope nobody gets hurt carrying that thing! Pretty sure lifting that without a forklift is an OSHA violation
I've seen prettier railroad ties.

I don't think that's accurate. Some money is from 2 real estate guys (1 is rumored to be $14mm of the total), but he got extra years and more money from the University too.
