Curious what everyone thinks about which players have the most to prove this season. I feel it's Nwaneri, Corcoran, Jeudy, Haarberg, and Prochazka only because of his health. I'm not too worried about the RB, WR, DB and LB groups and the QB group has an able back up in Gramstad who knows the offense and is capable of running it, maybe not to the level of Raiola but well enough in an emergency. I realize there many other players that really need to show they have a fire in their bellies enough to make us a happy lot this year. jmo

The entire O line. We go with how they go. Followed by DR, he should make a jump, hopefully he can be considered a top 10 QB this coming season with his play. Really need a QB who can win us games rather than one who simply doesn’t lose them.
I think we'll see Dylan's play greatly improved this year as he will have spent a year under coach Thomas and more time under Holgorsen's tutelage. Dylan had receivers that were just OK last year but has an upgraded group this year. It's those OL that I mentioned that will need to prove they can protect our greatest asset. Haarberg is going to have to show he can do some of the dirty work that TE's do when they are not catching passes, a really good TE can really add to a team's running scheme. Nwaneri is going to have to show why he was considered a top recruit coming out of HS and why Mizz made a terrible mistake of letting him go, it's up to him to prove he is all of what recruiting experts thought he was. I'm going to add one more name to my list and that's Pritchett, he is going to have to start showing why he was so highly touted as a HS star recruit. The thing that bothers me most about some offensive linemen is when they are quiet and non-verbal and just don't show that nasty side needed to be great, let's hope Pritchett has a defining moment this year.

If anyone has seen his pressers the dude is looking lean and ready to roll - I think he’s going to have a big year.
Less to do with his play and more to do with his demeanor, IMO
He played well enough to win more than he did last year
He needs to prove he’s a leader and a winner - at all costs
Pritchett I’ve heard has no mean streak and I wouldn’t expect the nicest coaching staff in the country to instill one
Let's just hope Matt Rhule won't let anyone slide this year because you know coaches at places like OSU, Michigan, Georgia won't let their players slack off and become nothing more than a tackling dummy during practice. I don't care about hurt feelings I care about results and that's why I started this post, those players are some of the ones that are going to have to show something this year or just move on. I expect we will lose some players after the spring but to me those are the players who just couldn't cut it or as the saying goes, busts.
There are definitely going to be some players let go and everyone on the team knows it. The success of the season will hinge mostly on a lot of the players already mentioned, but this is a chance to finally rid the program of the energy vampires and clock watching layabout types that have taken up space in that locker room for 10 years now. We don't need any more players quoted in articles about how difficult the drudgery of spring football is. Shut your mouth and get to work.

It's being reported that Roco Spindler said that he believes NU has more talent right now than his former Notre Dame squad did last year.
This could be sour grapes against the Irish or he's just trying to pump up the troops but maybe he really feels this way. There will be some house cleaning after this spring and I for one see it as necessary.

This house cleaning deal has the potential of making Nebraska less unique. I wonder if there’s a way of having a “practice squad” like they do in the pros, without violating the new NCAA roster imitations, which would engage more of the players that used to be walk ons?
I think the coaches have more to prove than the players. We have the talent for 9-10 wins - can the coaches maximize the talent to get there??? I’m all in on 2025 - it’s going to be special.
Times are changing and have been for quite some time and the NCAA is hanging on by a thread. No one loves traditions more than I do but you can't cling to the past because it will consume you and leave you wanting.
Our season will stand or fall depending on how well the replacements for Ty and Nash play. Every other position pales in comparison.
The DL is one of my concerns and as I posted Jeudy is a senior and he will have to step up his play this year. I realize we won't be able to replace the play of Robinson and Hutmacher but hopefully we can see a few of the players do a decent job, I hope.
