Heading out soon to attend Huskers vs. Gophers dual match at Devaney. My first wrestling match in person. Not predicting a 55-0 rout like PSU put on Michigan State last night, but wouldn’t complain if it happened.

For those not familiar with wrestling, the 55-0 score last night would be like Ohio State beating Purdue 140-0 in football this year.
I can’t attend this one but would like to. NU wrestling is tough, if not quite “elite.” Minnesota down a little this year but certainly not weak. Looking at match-ups, NU SHOULD win this and maybe get some bonus-point victories.
I caught the last match. Easy pin for PSU about a minute after I turned it on. I was laughing at the score.
Looks like first match is 157, so if Huskers need a win in the last match if the day it might come down to Ridge.
Gable Steveson is back on the team for Minny. He has been signing autographs and takimg pictures with the fans for about 30 minutes already. Hopefully that means he is NOT wrestling today, which will improve out chances of winning.

Lenny looked a lot faster this match, but there is no reason he needed to back up in the final 30 seconds.

I actually met Polar Bear’s dad at The Brazen Tavern in Manhattan before the Pinstripe bowl. Great guy. Kind of a biker dude type with tats. We talked about wrestling and how important it was to Nash’s whole approach to football.
