They are a great 2nd half team and will probably win all their home games.
Our PGs aren’t bums. Rollie, Ulis and Williams/Hioberg can manage the position by committee. Just think we’re an elite PG away from being a top 10 team and a legit contender for the B1G title.
Doesn’t mean they have no chance of winning the conference, just think it’s a long shot without a PG who can dictate the pace of the game and also score 20. Love this team BTW
You know… I’ll be happier than a gold digger without a prenup if we can just get a tournament win. But I can’t help thinking how good we could be with an elite PG. That’s the point of this I guess.
Maybe...but they are going to be a 9 seed or better. Which means it will be pretty even.
Worster was a damn good pickup though. Mature kid, makes good decisions, hits foul shots under pressure.
I really like the new approach Fred has used with the transfer portal in recent years. They are bringing in some tough, competitive, older players. And it's really paying off.

agree! i had not seen Worster play( or i overlooked him) but he's cool and calm and effective....and these kids defend!!!

I am going to enjoy the ride this season. A good chance to go back-to-back NCAA tournament. But there are a lot of pieces to replace next year. Luckily, Nebraska’s play the past 2-3 years gives them a good opportunity to use the portal to their advantage.
THIS. If NU is ever going to make a jump in MBB, now is the time. Lots of positive press. A celebrity 3pt shooter last year. Made the tourney. Games on national TV. Great facilities. At least decent NIL.Sold out games. A coach who can sell he knows the NBA and has connections.
Fred has to take advantage of this on the recruiting trail before the window closes. The pieces are all there to change the narrative of Husker basketball…
