99.9% of them are just a regular everyday "relationship", not some power dynamic. Not some struggle for control.

Equal coworker is a little different than what Coop was doing. When you're a university employee with power over a subordinate it's pretty standard that you can't do what he did. Add to it that I suspect that it occurred on university property. The details of why somebody had to be dismissed are usually never revealed publicly. I don't think this was your standard office romance.

I will try to find that statistic because I imagine it's available. My point was, I DO know its outrageously higher than it was and with abortion a part of the way a lot of people think, getting knocked up is no big deal.
My overall view was that society is way more promiscuous than it was back in the day. To deny that is being naive.
This is very wrong. Teen pregnancy rate has been going down for a long time now. The statistics show young adults are having less sex than ever.

For the record, the number is a lot closer to 2-3%. This is similar to the state senator that actually thought our classrooms had kitty litter in the corner for kids who identify as cats.

Nobody is arguing that point. Saying 40% of girls are pregnant at a school of 1500 kids is what's absurd. That would set records by probably about 30%.
