So this guy is good!?
His statistical history says so. His first year was rough at both SMU and Liberty but has been good since. Stats for SMU have been really good this year and last but SMU has played against the 75th SOS this year though, they are questionable due to the schedule.

Rather have the Texass or UGA Dc, pay them 2.6 per year if you need to…
I’d rather have Texass or UGA talent, pay them whatever it takes. Talent sometimes makes coordinators look great. Pelini is a good example. Great with guys like Suh, David and Amukumara, not so much when the talent diminished…

Sure, but we never will. It will be closer to what SMU has right now, and their D is getting run up and down on by a pretty good but not great Clemson team.
But just message board thoughts since we’d never be able to get UT or UGA coaches

I hear ya, I’ve just seen coaches who were supposed to be really good not produce at other stops without the talent they were used to at a Texas or a Georgia.

They could be great, and you might be absolutely right. We would likely just find a way to screw it up.

This guy likes the safety blitz from the left field warning track.
Horribly timed safety blitzes I saw at least twice.
They have a talent deficiency but not impressed with the play calls so far

Nonsense....we had the talent under Tom.

We need massive talent infusion in our defensive backfield to make anything really work.

Rough half for SMU, but it wasn’t nearly all on the defense.

Clemson’s scoring drives:
2 plays 33 yards - touchdown 7-0
4 plays 28 yards - touchdown 14-0
8 plays 75 yards - touchdown 21-7
7 plays 18 yards - field goal 24-7

Three of the four Clemson scoring drives were on short fields. An all around awful team half.

idk. i'd rather have someone that has proven it on the B1G/SEC level. I felt the same when it came to head coach a couple years ago.

ACC/Big 12 experience just doesn't excite me no matter how successful they are.

I wouldn’t be opposed to an outsider who has been a winner almost everywhere.

I don’t know much about him otherwise.

How did you feel about Tony White?

They’re a G5 school going up against a traditional powerhouse.

Maybe the defense is gutted cuz they know he’s gone

I could ask you the same, how'd you feel about HCMR?

I wouldn't of hired him (White). I'm not saying that person can't have success. What I'm saying is I'd rather have someone that has had success at the level that I'm asking him to coach.

And regardless of who they hire, I'm rooting for the guy.

I remember running into Craig James when I was living in Dallas area in the 90’s. He was a douche, and Leach was right to lock his brat kid in a closet.
I ran in to him at a block party at the Fiesta Bowl with my family. He had his fam in tow and was very nice. I think he picked us over Florida.

SMU's defense is giving them a chance. Their offense gave up the two crucial TOs.

Do you really think it matters who he hirss? Matt will be terminated in 1-2 years. And everyone still has hope? Yoiu know how this is going to play out. And I am sober. Man up and quit being so blind. The dude is a ****** coach, a ****** hire, and everything else. Gonna have a winning season in year 3 with the easiest schedule in 30 years? I doubt it. The dude is a loser and has no clue what it takes to win in this day and age. Keep your homer-kool-aide flowing. Matt Rhule? LOL.
